The presence of carbon dioxide in the heated atmosphere in which pyrohydrolysis of an admixture of alkaline earth metal chloride and iron chloride is carried out substantially decreases the temperature required for reaction to occur.

    摘要: Spindle-shaped goethite particles of the present invention contain Co of 8 to 45 atm %, calculated as Co, based on whole Fe, Al of 5 to 20 atm %, calculated as Al, based on whole Fe, and have an average major axial diameter of 0.05 to 0.18 nullm, each of said spindle-shaped goethite particles comprising a seed portion and a surface layer portion, the weight ratio of said seed portion to said surface layer portion being 30:70 to 80:20 and the relationship of the Co concentration of the seed portion with that of the hematite particle being 50 to 95:100 when the Co concentration of the hematite particle is 100, and said Al existing in said surface layer portion. Such spindle-shaped goethite particles are fine particles and exhibit a good particle size distribution. Spindle-shaped hematite particles obtained form the spindle-shaped goethite particles, can be prevented as highly as possible from causing destruction of particle shape when subjected to a heat-reduction step for producing magnetic spindle-shaped metal particles and magnetic spindle-shaped metal particles containing iron as a main component produced from the spindle-shaped goethite particles or the spindle-shaped hematite particles as a starting material, exhibit a high coercive force, an excellent particle coercive force distribution, a large saturation magnetization and an excellent oxidation stability, and are excellent in a squareness (Br/Bm) of the sheet due to a good dispersibility in a binder resin.

    摘要: This invention relates to a novel porous, sulpha sponge iron compound derived from haematite having the following composition given below: and having trace elements such as Au, Pt and Ag therein,by dissolving said haematite in concentrated hydrochloric acid. The acidic solution is treated with alcoholic ammonia and glacial acetic acid. The sulpha sponge iron compound has Fe2/Fe3 cores forming interstatially stabilized clusters. The invention also includes a process for desulphurising natural gas by adsorbing sulphur containing contaminants in the novel sulpha sponge iron compound either at the drilling site or on a bed containing the same.

    摘要: In a metal oxide nanoparticle and a synthetic method thereof, and in particular to maghemite (null-Fe2O3) nanoparticles usable as a superhigh density magnetic recording substance by having good shape anisotropy and magnetic characteristics, hematite (null-Fe2O3) nanoparticles usable as a precursor to the maghemite or a catalyst, maghemite and hematite-mixed nanoparticles and a synthetic method thereof, the method for synthesizing metal oxide nanoparticles includes forming a reverse micelle solution by adding distilled water, a surfactant and a solvent to metallic salt not less than trivalent, precipitating and separating gel type amorphous metal oxide particles by adding proton scavenger to the reverse micelle solution; adjusting a molar ratio of metal oxide to the surfactant by washing the gel type amorphous metal oxide particles with a polar solvent; and crystallizing metal oxide nanoparticles through heating or reflux after dispersing the gel type amorphous metal oxide particles in a non-polar solvent having a high boiling point.
