    Abstract: A display panel and a display apparatus are provided. In an embodiment, the display panel has a display region including a fingerprint recognition region. In an embodiment, the fingerprint recognition region includes a plurality of light-transmitting apertures. In an embodiment, the display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixels, a plurality of touch electrodes, and a plurality of touch lines that are located in the display region. In an embodiment, one of the plurality of touch lines and one of the plurality of light-transmitting apertures are provided in different sub-pixel spacing regions of the plurality of sub-pixel spacing regions, respectively.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a first substrate, a second substrate overlapped with the first substrate and having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, a sensor unit disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first blocking layer disposed on the first side, and a second blocking layer disposed on the sensor unit.     Abstract: A detection device includes: a substrate; photoelectric conversion elements provided to the substrate; transistors; and signal lines each of which is between adjacent photoelectric conversion elements. Each detection element includes one of the photoelectric conversion element and the transistors adjacent to the photoelectric conversion element.     Abstract: A sensor including a light-receiving element; and an optical element that includes near infrared absorbing dichroic substance. The optical element has an absorption axis with respect to near infrared light in an in-plane direction. When linearly polarized light of near infrared light orthogonal to the absorption axis is radiated from a normal direction of the optical element and from a direction inclined by 45° from the normal direction at an azimuthal angle orthogonal to the absorption axis, an absorbance during the radiation from the direction inclined by 45° from the normal direction is more than an absorbance during the radiation from the normal direction.

    Abstract: Examples of the disclosure are directed to micro-machined ultrasonic transducers (MUTs) which can be embedded into a flexible band of a watch to detect touch, gestures, physiological signals, and transfer data. In some examples, the MUTs can include a piezoelectric material disposed between two electrodes and coupled to a base material having a plurality of cavities, to support motion of the transducer structure. In some examples, the MUTs can be coupled to multiplexing circuitry to stimulate, configure and control the MUTs. In some examples, the size, shape, and arrangement of transducers can be changed to improve characteristics associated with ultrasonic transmission. In some examples, the MUT array can be driven (e.g., by the CMOS circuitry) to beamform the transmitted and/or the received ultrasonic waves. In some examples, the one or more MUT arrays can be configured to generate haptic feedback via the flexible band.

    Abstract: A biometric button assembly may be disposed in an opening of an enclosure of an electronic device. The biometric button assembly may include an input member that forms an exterior surface of the button housing and is configured to receive inputs, for example from a user of the electronic device. The biometric button assembly may further include a biometric sensor for detecting the received inputs and transmitting a signal to a processor of the electronic device. The signal may correspond to a biometric characteristic, such as a fingerprint. A flexible conduit may transmit the signal to the processor. A portion of the flexible conduit and a seal may be positioned between the button assembly and the enclosure that prevents contaminants from entering the button housing and the enclosure.
