摘要： An automatic document conveying device is applied to an image processor that has a transparent plate. The automatic document conveying device can convey a continuous document that has folding lines extending in the direction of width at stated intervals in the conveying direction and feed holes formed in both side edges thereof at stated intervals in the conveying direction. The automatic document conveying device includes a continuous document placing device on which will be placed the continuous document in a condition where it is folded along the folding lines, a conveying devices for conveying the continuous document passing on the transparent plate of the image processor, and a continuous document receiving device for receiving the continuous document conveyed passing on the transparent plate. The conveying device conveys the continuous, document from the continuous document placing device passing on the transparent plate while unfolding it along the folding lines and further conveys it onto the continuous document receiving device while again folding it along the folding lines. The conveying device includes a conveyer belt mechanism, pin tractor mechanisms, and a conveyance control device that controls the operations of these conveyer belt mechanism and pin tractor mechanisms.

摘要： A tractor mechanism has an endless pin belt entrained around spaced drive and idler sprockets mounted between a pair of frame members. The idler sprocket is supported by a carrier movable longitudinally by springs to apply tension to the belt. The edges of the belt overhang gear teeth of the belt and are prevented from contact with the frame members by the gear teeth engaging an endless vertical wall on one of the frame members. The frame members and sprocket carrier are molded polycarbonate with carbon fiber and solid lubricant fillers to reduce electrostatic charge buildup and wear of the belt. The frame members are bolted together to clamp the sprocket carrier in place to maintain the belt tension applied by the springs. The sprocket carrier and frame members have aligned elongate openings for receiving a tractor guide shaft with a concentric plastic tube, the latter being attached to a retainer plate held loosely between the sprocket carrier and a frame member.

摘要： In accordance with the preferred embodiment of the invention, a cam-operated idler roller assembly maintains tension on a computer printer generated form as it advances through the print station of a computer printer. This invention provides a nip station that disengages on a print medium reversal to allow the form to be run in a reverse direction through the print station by means of a cam design that disengages the idler roller assembly from the drive roller. The cam design further allows the idler roller assembly to reengage on forward print media movement to reestablish tension in the printing station.

摘要： A pin-tractor type paper feed mechanism is disclosed which includes feed belt with pins for feeding paper having perforations along the edges of the paper, the pins of the feed belt being engageable with the perforations of the paper. An endless film is provided between the top surface of the paper and a fixed first pressure plate so as to press against the top surface of the paper. A second fixed pressure plate is provided. The endless film and the feed belt are rotated in synchronism such that adjacent runs of the film and the belt advance in the same direction. As a result, no frictional force is applied to the top surface of the paper, and damage to the paper and improper feeding of the paper are prevented.

摘要： A feed mechanism for transporting paper has an endless band with transport pins for insertion into the perforations in circular perforations in the paper. The feed pins are part of drive elements attached through perforations in an endless flexible band to gear teeth which are engaged by grooves in a drive pulley. The transport pins have a cap portion on top of a base portion. The cap portion is tapered in the shape of a circular involute and extends from the top of the truncated circular conical base portion. The perforations in the band have the shape of an ellipse with the major axis thereof aligned in the direction of movement of the band. The band can be either thin flexible steel or polymer and the pin portion and gear portion of the drive elements can be integral and molded from an elastomer material through the elliptical perforations in the band.

摘要： An improved lid for a forms feed tractor, which feeds successive interconnected sheets of paper having edge perforations (feedholes), the sheets having forms printed thereon or being blank, in printers, copiers and the like is provided with an improved lid mechanism having an extension outboard of the tractor and over the form. A transparent or translucent window section in this extension is provided with markings which are seen when the lid is pivoted down and closed so as to capture the form. Then the form can be moved so that the edge of each sheet or certain markings on the form are in proper alignment in the printer or copier. Then when printing occurs or when copying onto the form occurs, the printing will be located in line with other material on the form or properly spaced from the top edge of each sheet.

摘要： A push-pull printer includes at least one tractor unit thus is formed to have both a pull function and a push function. Fork-like mounting portions are respectively formed at lower portions of a pair of frames provided at both ends of the tractor unit. A pair of tractor guides are located at each of push and pull feed positions of the printer body. Each guide detachably holds a corresponding fork-like mounting portion. When the tractor is to be used in the push type paper feed mode, the fork-like mounting portions are attached to the tractor guides located at the push feed position. However, for use in the pull type paper feed mode, the fork-like mounting portions are attached to the tractor guides located at the pull feed position. Two such tractors, one providing the pull function and the other the push function, can be used cooperatively.
