摘要: A latch assembly for selectively preventing a relative movement between first and second components of an aircraft cabin monument, including a latch having a first connection member and a striker plate having a second connection member complementary to and selectively engageable with the first connection member. The engaged latch and striker plate in use are subjected to a load having a use threshold value and a decompression threshold value. The striker plate is designed to have a failure load higher than the use threshold value and lower than the decompression threshold value. The latch has a failure load higher than the use threshold value and higher than the decompression threshold value. A method of tailoring a failure of a latch assembly selectively preventing a relative movement between first and second components of an aircraft cabin monument is also discussed.

摘要: A drawer assembly is described that includes one or more mini-drawer assemblies. A mini-drawer assembly comprises a sliding tab along a rear-to-front axis, a release mechanism coupled to the sliding tab, and a body having a body bottom coupled from the body bottom to the sliding tab. The body may slide over the sliding tab. The mini-drawer assembly may include a plurality of compartments in the body and a plurality of lids that are hingedly coupled to the compartments. Each lid may have a respective fastening element. A plurality of latches may couple to the body such that each latch is coupled to a corresponding compartment. The latch may hold the respective fastening element of the lid. When the body is pulled out along the rear-to-front axis, the release mechanism may engage with the latch to release the respective fastening element and to unlatch the lid of the compartment.

摘要: A cam lock for cabinets, drawers, drug cabinets, credenzas, sliding doors, lockers, mail boxes and other door type applications is compact in size, fits an existing cam lock opening and provides electronic access via a keypad or other electronic access. Using batteries, such as AAA size batteries or smaller, the lock has electronics that release a lock turn knob or handle when the correct code is entered. Preferably a set of electronic contacts is included at an accessible position on the lock housing to allow both master access and power jumping with a common manager's implement, for situations of lost codes and/or battery failure. In a particular embodiment the lock is long, narrow and low in profile so as to fit on the margin of a steel or wood file cabinet, compatible with the cam lock opening already provided. The locks, NFC-enabled, can be used in securing delivery boxes to enable delivery access, when authorized.

摘要: An exemplary locking mechanism includes a plunger, a lock control member adjacent the plunger, a roller captured between the plunger and the lock control member, a driver operably connected with the lock control member, and a control assembly operable to control the driver to move the lock control member between a locking position and an unlocking position. The locking mechanism has a locking state in which the lock control member is in the locking position, and interference between the roller and the lock control member prevents movement of the plunger in a retracting direction. The locking mechanism has an unlocking state in which the plunger is in the unlocking position such that the roller is operable to move into a pocket formed in the lock control member, thereby enabling movement of the plunger in the retracting direction.

The locking lever is configured to secure the latch in the closed position when the locking lever is in the locked position and the detent lever is configured to provide a detent function when the detent lever is in the engaged position. In certain aspects, the latch assembly includes a single motor and cam assembly having three configurations, wherein the locking lever and detent lever are respectively in the unlocked and disengaged positions while in the first configuration, in the unlocked and engaged positions while in the second configuration, and in the locked and engaged positions while in the third configuration.

摘要: The invention relates to a latching mechanism that is attachable to the outer surface of a cupboard drawer or door to prevent opening of the drawer or door by a child. The child safety latch 1 thus locks and prevents opening of a first drawer or door element 2 with respect to a second cabinet frame element 3. The latch fitting mechanism 1 includes a first engaging part 4 and a second engaging part 5. The first and second engaging parts each comprise enlarged engaging surfaces 6, 7 respectively, which provide mating surfaces to securely fit the first and second engaging parts respectively to the surfaces of the first door or drawer element 2 and the second carcass element 3. Holes are provided in the engaging surfaces 6, 7 for attachment to the inside surface of a side of the drawer or cupboard with mechanical fasteners, such as screws. The enlarged surfaces 6, 7 also serve as substrates for other securing means such as adhesive or Velcro (hook and loop) type fixing means. The first engaging part 4 includes a prong assembly 8 arranged in a plane at 90 degrees to the enlarged attaching surface 6. The prong assembly 8 includes a pair of resilient prongs 10 each comprising a hooked terminal end 12. The second engaging part 5 includes a receiving means 9 arranged in the same plane as the enlarged attaching surface 7 and includes a pair of receiving prongs 11 each with a receiving hook 13 corresponding to the terminal ends 12 such that when the first and second engaging parts are brought together they are become automatically engaged, by the terminal end hooks 12 becoming latched to the receiving hooks 13.

摘要: A drawer release mechanism has a handle having ends, a cylindrical portion and a flange. A pair of end cap interfaces are engaged to the ends of the handle. The end cap interfaces have rotational shafts, cylindrical receiving portions, receiving slots, and flange slots. A pair of end caps are exterior to the end cap interfaces, the end caps have flange recesses, rotation surfaces, shaft openings, and cam receiving areas, where the rotational shafts are disposed through the shaft openings, the receiving portions are adjacent to the rotation surfaces, and the flange slots are disposed in the flange recesses. The end caps are attached to a drawer. A cam is engaged to each of the rotational shafts. Each cam includes a shaft receiver, an actuator support and a cam actuator. The cams engage levers to release a drawer from a cabinet upon actuation of the handle.

The hooks are movable between a locking position and an unlocked position by rotation of the shaft (20). A handle (14) is arranged on the shaft (20) so that the shaft (20) runs through a first hole (34) and a second hole (36) at both ends (16, 18) of the handle (14). The first hole (34) is formed so that upon rotation of the handle (14) within a predetermined range, a torque is transmittable to the shaft (20) via engagement between the shaft (20) and the first end (16) of the handle (14). The second hole (36) is formed so that upon rotation of the handle (14) no torque is transmitted to the shaft (20) via the second end (18).
