摘要： An exhaust fumes distribution system for use within a structure adjacent to a space in which a vehicle having an engine coupled to a vertically oriented, open ended, exhaust stack is to be located to discharge exhaust fumes out of the structure. The system comprises an blower, an elongated, hollow guide tube having a slot extending the length thereof. The guide tube includes a pair of sealing members located along the slot for forming a sealed interface through which the exhaust stack is arranged to enter, so that fumes from the stack are carried down the guide tube and vented out of the structure by the blower. The sealing members are of generally C-shape in cross section so that peripheral portions thereof abut along the length of the slot to form the sealed interface. The interface is arranged to open at any point along the length thereof for receipt of the open end of the exhaust stack of the vehicle, with the remaining portions of the interface remaining sealed so that the exhaust fumes cannot gain ingress into the interior of the structure through the interface.

摘要： An exhaust recovery system to vent exhaust from an exhaust pipe of a vehicle within a building. A coupling is detachably connectable to the exhaust pipe of the vehicle. An elongate flexible hose is interconnected between the coupling and a telescoping assembly. The telescoping assembly includes a plurality of tubular members slidably engaged within one another. As the vehicle is moved away from the telescoping assembly it causes the tubular members to slide with respect to one another permitting the vehicle to exit the building while exhaust from the vehicle passes through the hose and the telescoping assembly.

摘要： An exhaust vent adapter is provided for use in a heating system having a plurality of heating units, which allows all heating units to discharge combustion gases through a single exhaust opening. The adapter comprises a body with a plurality of discrete chambers formed therein, each chamber communicating with a separate heating unit. The body of the adapter has a single exhaust opening formed therein, through which each chamber is independently connected to a separate exhaust vent pipe. The vent pipes leading from plurality of the chambers are concentrically arranged, and may be extended through a single opening in either the wall or ceiling of a building in which the heating units are installed. In a preferred embodiment, the body of the adapter has a single divider secured therein, which defines two chambers and segregates the combustion gases from a pair of heating units.

To permit safe retention of the nozzle (5) at the exhaust pipe (3) with sufficient forces without the forces counteracting release of the exhaust pipe (3) from the nozzle (5), the retaining and releasing device includes at least one retaining and releasing arm (29) which is movable between a retaining position (D) wherein it permits retention of the exhaust-gas extraction nozzle (5) at the exhaust pipe (3) and a releasing position wherein it permits release of the exhaust pipe (3) from the nozzle (5), whereby a retaining device (43) is provided to retain the retaining and releasing arm (29) in its retaining position (D) and to release the arm (29) such that the arm can move to its releasing position when the exhaust-gas extraction nozzle (5) reaches a certain position in the premises (1).
