摘要: A barreled firearm having a mass-locked breechblock and a recoil-damping element which is connected on one side to a frame assembly and on another side to a barrel assembly including a barrel. A housing part of the barrel assembly is mounted in the frame assembly in an axially slidable manner. A support element stationary relative to the barrel is mounted in a breechblock housing or in the frame assembly in an axially slidable manner. Alternatively, a support element stationary relative to the frame assembly is mounted in a breechblock housing in an axially slidable manner. The breechblock housing is guided by the frame assembly in an axially slidable manner and the breechblock housing is supported by the support element by means of a spring element. This design absorbs or reduces recoil when a shot is fired from the barreled firearm.

摘要: A semi-automatic or automatic rifle comprising a barrel attached to and upper receiver and including a compressible bolt carrier extension system. The compressible bolt carrier extension system includes a bolt carrier, an extension spring, two pins, and a reciprocation bolt carrier extension piece. As a whole, the compressible bolt carrier extension system makes possible the use of elongated upper and lower receivers to be used for chambering long-action or other center fire cartridges for use with AR rifles such as the M-16, and M4 etc., eliminating the need for any buffer or buffer tubes other than those commercially available. A further advantage of the compressible bolt carrier extension system is the reduction of felt recoil as the system fully loads during the recoil stroke as it pushes against the buffer absorbing additional recoil energy. The system can be incorporated into firearms using a variety of cartridges.

摘要: A short-length, belt fed machine gun for convenient use includes: (A) a receiver having a length in the range of about 17.75 inches to about 20.3 inches, (B) a barrel assembly, and (C) a gas cycling assembly. A gas port of the barrel assembly has a width of between about 0.063 inches and 0.200 inches. The distance between a center of the gas port and the breach of the barrel is between about 7.605 inches and about 9.395 inches. The gas cycling assembly features a unique polymer kinetic energy dampener assembly located longitudinally rearward of the operating rod, which is useful in achieving a desired cycle rate of the gun (e.g., about 600 rounds per minute (RPM)) and in minimizing muzzle climb. A unique mounting bushing selectively, removably mounts to the gas cylinder in order to achieve a shortened gun with many of the advantages of conventional longer weapons.

The receiver structure comprises sidewalls (2, 2′) each have bolt bearing raceway grooves (3, 3′) slidably receiving and guiding the lateral bearings of the bolt, wherein a profile of a first portion (3a) of the bolt bearing raceway groove defines a non-constant height (H(y)) between upper and lower guide edges (18, 19) that varies as a function of the distance (y) from the firing chamber body (16), said profile comprising a velocity control portion with a slope (P) configured to impart a braking effect on the bolt during its sliding movement to slow down the rate of fire.

摘要: To prevent inertial forces from inadvertently releasing the slide of a semi-automatic pistol into battery, a slide stop retention mechanism is mounted on the frame. A finger extends from the mechanism and pivots under the force of a biasing spring into engagement with the slide stop when the slide is in the open position. The finger supports the slide stop. A force applied to the slide stop, either manually or via a cam on the slide when the slide is pulled back and released, will move the finger out of its supporting position and allow the slide to move to battery.

摘要: A buffer tube for firearms, including assault rifles, carbines, shotguns, and other rifles is disclosed. The floating buffer tube comprises a recoil mitigation mechanism, including a helical spring or an elastic or viscous energy absorption device, and a buttstock mounting bracket mounted outside the buffer tube. The buttstock mounting bracket can rotate relative to the buffer tube, which changes the axial angle of the buttstock relative to the firearm. The angle can be locked under an expansive force by forcing a bolt or pin into grooves to select the proper axial angle of the buttstock relative to the firearm in the field without the user having to disarm himself to perform the angle change.
