    摘要: An electronic module is provided including a circuit board defining a longitudinal axis and having a first surface and a second surface. A module housing is provided having a bottom surface and side walls extending from the bottom surface to form an open face through which the circuit board is received. Power switches configured as an inverter circuit to drive an electric motor are mounted on the second surface of the circuit board facing the bottom surface of the module housing, and a series of heat sinks are discretely mounted on the first surface of the circuit board facing the open face opposite the power switches. Potting material is disposed in the distance between the circuit board and the bottom surface of the module housing to cover the power switches. Thermal vias are disposed through the circuit board between corresponding ones of the heat sinks and the power switches.

    摘要: A DC motor apparatus includes a motor housing assembly which includes an outer liquid-tight coolant chamber and an inner, armature-reception chamber portion. Pairs of permanent magnet stator magnet modules are housed within the liquid-tight coolant chamber, and shunt members are housed within the liquid-tight coolant chamber between the stator magnet modules. An armature is centrally located in the inner, armature-reception chamber portion. The armature includes at least one pair of armature pole portions which are wound with same-directional windings. A commutator is connected to the armature, and the commutator includes commutator contacts. An adjustable brush advance/retard mechanism includes roller brushes for contacting the commutator contacts. A liquid cooling system includes a coolant pump and a coolant fluid radiator for circulating liquid coolant through the liquid-tight coolant chamber for cooling the stator magnet modules and the shunt members.

    摘要: A power tool has a mechanism to reverse a motor. The mechanism includes a first member secured with the motor surrounding the motor commutator. A pair of electrical contacts are supported in the first member. A second member is rotatable on the fist member. The second member carries a pair of brush holders which include electrical contacts. As the second member is rotated in the first member, the electrical contacts of the brush holders, as well as the electrical contacts in the first member, electrically couple with one another from a first position to a second position which relates to a forward and reverse direction of the motor. A lever moves the second member between its first and second positions.

    摘要: A portable electric tool with a housing having a motor compartment and a pistol grip handle is provided with a trigger-switch, incorporating a motor reversing switch, mounted in the handle. An elongated lever is pivoted intermediate its length and contained within the housing. The rear end of the lever is connected to the reversing switch for actuation thereof. The forward end of the lever has a downwardly projecting protrusion which engages in a slide member which is slidable along an arcuate slot in the lower wall of the motor compartment for pivoting the lever. Intermediate the forward end of the lever and the pivotal axis of the lever is a downwardly projecting pin which coacts with a partition and two grooves in the upper part of the trigger-switch to block the movement of the trigger until the lever has been pivoted to actuate the reversing switch, and also to prevent pivoting of the lever while the trigger is in an inward position energizing the tool. A brush-board assembly is rotatably mounted in bearings extending inwardly from the wall of the motor compartment. The lever has adjacent its forward end an upwardly extending forked arm which engages a stud on the brush-board assembly to effect rotation thereof when the lever is pivoted.
