Abstract: A cell transmits synchronization signal blocks (SSB) to a user equipment (UE) for the UE to synchronize with the cell. The cell configures a discovery reference signal (DRS) window for synchronization signal block (SSB) transmission to a user equipment (UE), determines that a channel in an unlicensed spectrum is not occupied and transmits multiple SSBs to the UE in response to determining that the channel in the unlicensed spectrum is not occupied.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE), a base station (e.g., next generation NodeB (gNB)), or other network component can operate to configure multiple transmission reception point (mTRP) communication for new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) standalone communications in a network. A processor or processing circuitry can acquire or share a channel occupancy time (COT) for a first transmission reception point (TRP). The COT can then be mediated with a UE or a second TRP via an ideal backhaul or an ideal backhaul based on a proximity condition. The COT can be shared between the first and second TRP via X2 signaling over an X2 interface.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for selecting time domain resources in a wireless communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a wireless link. The wireless device may receive an uplink grant that provides multiple uplink transmission occasions. The wireless device may select a subset of the multiple uplink transmission occasions and may perform uplink transmissions during the selected subset. The subset selected by the wireless device may be determined based on a resource adjustment rule for the wireless device. Each of the uplink transmissions may include an indication of uplink transmission occasions that are unused by the wireless device.

Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for a user equipment (UE) to multiplex a first HARQ of a first priority and a second HARQ of a second priority to form an initial UCI payload. The UE can select a PUCCH resource accordingly to a PUCCH configuration, and generate a second UCI payload by removing or replacing at least a portion of the initial UCI payload when a size of the initial UCI payload is larger than a size of the PUCCH resource. The UE can encode at least a part of the second UCI payload including the first HARQ to generate an error correction code word. Afterwards, the UE can add the error correction code word to the second UCI payload to generate a transmission UCI payload, and transmit the transmission UCI payload to the base station.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed relate to apparatuses, systems, and methods for improved handling of phase noise (PN) in millimeter wave (MMW or mmWave) communications in a wireless communication system, such as 5G NR. When severe phase noise is present in a communication link, the link performance can be substantially degraded. Thus, it would be desirable to utilize techniques to compensate for phase noise in mmWave communications. In Rel-15, a Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PT-RS or PTRS) was specified for both downlink and uplink communications, specifically for Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) and Discrete Fourier Transform spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM). However, prior art approaches to PTRS using block-based pilot allocation schemes required complicated receiver processing. Thus, the techniques disclosed herein attempt to embed one or multiple bands with DFT-S-OFDM PTRS design in the data allocation bandwidth of an OFDM transmission to improve handling of PN at sub-OFDM symbol time intervals.
