    Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for selecting time domain resources in a wireless communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a wireless link. The wireless device may receive an uplink grant that provides multiple uplink transmission occasions. The wireless device may select a subset of the multiple uplink transmission occasions and may perform uplink transmissions during the selected subset. The subset selected by the wireless device may be determined based on a resource adjustment rule for the wireless device. Each of the uplink transmissions may include an indication of uplink transmission occasions that are unused by the wireless device.

    Abstract: Embodiments disclosed relate to apparatuses, systems, and methods for improved handling of phase noise (PN) in millimeter wave (MMW or mmWave) communications in a wireless communication system, such as 5G NR. When severe phase noise is present in a communication link, the link performance can be substantially degraded. Thus, it would be desirable to utilize techniques to compensate for phase noise in mmWave communications. In Rel-15, a Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PT-RS or PTRS) was specified for both downlink and uplink communications, specifically for Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) and Discrete Fourier Transform spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM). However, prior art approaches to PTRS using block-based pilot allocation schemes required complicated receiver processing. Thus, the techniques disclosed herein attempt to embed one or multiple bands with DFT-S-OFDM PTRS design in the data allocation bandwidth of an OFDM transmission to improve handling of PN at sub-OFDM symbol time intervals.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer programs for search space configuration for multi-slot physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring. In one aspect, a method can include actions of obtaining, by a base station, data indicating capabilities of user equipment (UE), wherein the obtained data includes at least data indicating sub-carrier spacing used by the UE, determining, by the base station and based on the obtained data indicating capabilities of the UE, (i) a periodicity selection parameter that indicates a subset of slot periodicities that the UE is to monitor for PDCCH and (ii) one or more other search space configuration parameters. generating, by the base station, a UE configuration command for configuring the search space that includes at least the determined periodicity selection parameter, encoding, by the base station, the generated UE configuration command for transmission to the UE, and transmitting, by the base station, the encoded command to the UE.
