Abstract:
A hinge for a packaging or cargo box or the like, having a first and a second hinge leaf, the second hinge leaf has a first bushing and a second bushing located at a distance therefrom, between which a bushing of the first hinge leaf can be rotated about a mutual hinge axis. An axial tube is rotationally fixed to the bushing of the first hinge leaf and is pivot-supported in the bushings of the second hinge leaf. A torsion spring is disposed in the axial tube and attached to one end of the axial tube. A torque support connects the other end of the torsion spring to the second hinge leaf in a rotationally fixed manner. A damper for the hinge movement is connected to the second hinge leaf and the axial tube. In a cylindrical hollow space of an outer opening, formed by the three bushings (65a, 65b, 65c), the damper (56), the axial tube (53) containing the torsion spring (58), and the torque support (54a) are inserted successively starting at the second bushing (65b) of the second hinge leaf (52), and the torque support (54a) is prevented from rotating and from being axially displaced in the second bushing (65b) by a safety device (54d, 68a, 70, 72).
Abstract:
A hinge including a first hinge member including a first magnetic element; and a second hinge member including a second magnetic element, wherein the first and second hinge members are hingedly mounted to each other. The first and second hinge members are substantially maintained in a retained position via magnetic force between the first and second magnetic elements.
Abstract:
In a dishwasher of the built-in type comprising a door (12) which is tillable about a generally horizontal axis (A), the door comprising means for fixing a decor panel (14), said dishwasher further comprising means (24) for biasing the door towards the closed position and dampening means (26) for dampening the closing of the door, the dampening means is or can be adapted for dampening the closing of the door in the undecorated state of the door.
Abstract:
A household appliance including a door that tilts about a tilt axis; a braking device to dampen a tilt motion of the door; and a transferring unit to transfer rotation of the tilt axis to a braking axis during the tilt motion of the door. The braking axis is offset relative to the tilt axis and the braking device is in functional cooperation with the braking axis.
Abstract:
A household appliance including a housing that has an opening; a door rotatable about a first rotation axis between a closed position in which the opening is closed by the door and an open position in which the opening is opened; a first door-opening unit to generate a first opening force to the door at least when the door is in the closed position; and a second door-opening unit to generate a second opening force to the door at least when the door is in the closed position. The second door-opening unit is arranged closer to the first rotation axis than the first door-opening unit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hinge damper and, more particularly, to a hinge damper that is configured to be adhered to a door hinge of the furniture having a door to attenuate impact and is designed in a small size but to attenuate a large amount of impact. In a hinge damper of the present invention, first and second seals are formed in an oil seal to prevent air from being introduced. A cross rib is formed on a piston to absorb a larger amount of impact with a small size. According to the present invention, the hinge damper can be small-sized while attenuating impact the present invention has been made. In addition, the hinge damper does not affect on the size of the hinge. Further, since the hinge damper can be identically sized to a screw used for fixing the hinge, it is not exposed to an external side.
Abstract:
Damping device (10), in particular for damping the motion of movable furniture parts of pieces of furniture, with a piston mounted in a housing (12) in a longitudinally displaceable manner which, in accordance with the displacement position thereof, forms two variable-size working chambers on opposite sides that are filled with a fluidic damping medium. Via at least one overflow-connection, a throttled transfer of the damping medium is possible between the two working chambers, wherein a piston plunger (28), fed in a sealed manner out of the assigned front-facing end of the housing (12), is connected on one side of the piston (14), and wherein via the outer end of said piston plunger (28), facing away from the piston, the motion of the furniture part to be damped is transferred to the piston (14). On the side of the piston (14) opposite the working chamber (26) on the piston plunger side, an elongated adjustment shaft (38) is connected with a diameter essentially corresponding to the diameter of the piston plunger (28), the free end of which is also fed in a sealed manner out of the front face lying opposite the front face that is sealed on the piston plunger side, out of the housing (12). The end of the adjustment shaft (38) connected to the piston (14) engages with a passage duct (42) connecting the two working chambers of the piston (14) and is constructed in such a way as to form a variable-sized throttle cross section in the passage duct (42) by making an adjusting motion of the shaft (38) relative to the piston (14).
Abstract:
A tailgate lift assistor that provides for a reduced force required to rotate or pivot a tailgate of a pickup truck or the like upwardly from a generally horizontal open position to a generally vertical closed position and in one embodiment the lift assistor is combined with a dampening mechanism that dampens the opening of the tailgate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a damping device for parts of furniture which are joined together by means of hinges and which can be pivoted in relation to each other. The housing contains a damping fluid in the cavity thereof and a resistance element which can be displaced relative to the damping fluid and connected to an actuating element protruding from the housing. During at least one part of the pivoting movement of both pieces of furniture, said actuating element is drivingly connected to the second piece of furniture and transfers the movement distributed to the second piece of furniture to the resistance element. The damping device is arranged in the region of at least one of the hinges which pivotally couples both pieces of furniture, and whereby either the damping housing and/or the actuating element engages with one of the mounting element of the corresponding hinges, at least during the damping process.
Abstract:
A damper device for retarding pivotal advancement of a hinged wall piece towards a hinging wall piece includes a tubular housing adapted to be mounted on one of the hinged and hinging wall pieces, a resisting seat with a resisting end, a position shifting mechanism disposed to couple the resisting seat to the housing such that the resisting seat is retainingly shiftable relative to the housing to permit movement of the resisting end, and a damper unit which has impacted and abutment ends and which is compressible such that, upon being pushed by an impact force, the impacted end is thrust towards the abutment end so as to acquire a damping force to counteract the impact force. The abutment end is engaged and moved with the resisting end for adjustment of the damping force.
