Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support use of a connected mode RS in an unconnected mode according to one or more aspects. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes operating, by a user equipment (UE), in an unconnected mode. The method also includes determining, by the UE, reference signal (RS) configuration settings for the unconnected mode. The method includes monitoring, by the UE, for a reference signal based on the RS configuration settings. Abstract: Bandwidth part (BWP) inactivity and mode switching supporting various communication approaches (e.g., full duplex and/or half duplex operations) are described. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, one or more control messages that indicate a configuration for a first downlink bandwidth part (BWP) associated with a first operating mode of the UE, a second downlink BWP associated with a second operating mode of the UE, a first set of resources within the first downlink BWP, and a second set of resources within the second downlink BWP. At least a portion of the configuration may correspond to a capability of the UE. The UE may monitor the first set of resources while in the first operating mode, and may monitor the second set of resources while in the second operating mode. The UE may receive a system information update or a public warning system (PWS) notification from the network entity via the second set of resources.

The one or more communication patterns may indicate to the UE to adjust one or more parameters for transmitting an uplink communication during a set of time resources, a set of beams, a set of ports, or any combination thereof. During the resources indicated in the one or more communication patterns, the base station may estimate a cross-link interference channel between the base station and a second base station. The one or more communication patterns may indicate a hopping pattern for each subband of a bandwidth part. The base station may configure the UE with a timing advance based on the message.

A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes allocating a resource budget per a span of symbols among a first type of downlink control information (DCI) and a second type of DCI, wherein the resource budget includes a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) blind decodes (BDs) and a number of control channel elements (CCEs) supported by the UE; and monitoring, from a network entity, PDCCH candidates in accordance with the allocated resource budget.

Abstract: Generally, the described techniques provide for duplex mode configuration for control information (e.g., duplex mode configuration for communication of downlink control information). For example, duplex modes may be defined (e.g., as full duplex (FD) capable, FD only, half duplex (HD) only, etc.), and such duplex modes may be configured for control resource sets (CORESETs), search space (SS) sets, or both. In some examples, duplex modes configured for a CORESET/SS set may depend on the priority of information conveyed via the CORESET/SS set. For example, a CORESET/SS set for high priority or critical control information may be configured with a HD mode to avoid FD self-interference, while CORESET/SS set for other control information may be configured with a FD mode to improve spectrum efficiency. Techniques for resolving conflicting duplex mode configurations (e.g., when a HD mode is configured for a SS set within a CORESET configured with FD) are also described.
