Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes a receiver configured to receive, during operation based on a first mode, a configuration message from a base station. The configuration message indicates sidelink resources associated with a sidelink data channel. The UE further includes a transmitter configured to transmit, based on detecting that one or more conditions associated with the configuration message are satisfied, and during operation based on a second mode, a sidelink message to a second UE via the sidelink data channel during an occasion associated with the sidelink resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for block feedback of multiple semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasions. Block feedback may be provided based on variable feedback timing values that are associated with one or more SPS occasions. A user equipment (UE) may determine feedback for each of two or more SPS occasions, and transmit a block feedback that indicates the feedback. A separate feedback timing between a SPS occasion and uplink feedback resources may be provided for multiple SPS occasions, which are associated with a single uplink feedback resource. Alternatively, a minimum feedback timing value and a maximum feedback timing value may be configured for a particular uplink resource, and block feedback for multiple SPS occasions within the minimum and maximum feedback timing values may be reported in the uplink feedback resource.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine candidate resources on one or more physical sidelink shared channels (PSSCHs) that are clear for transmitting at least two transport blocks, based at least in part on sensing a plurality of subchannels on the one or more PSSCHs with respect to listen-before-talk completion instants for the at least two transport blocks. The UE may select, from among the candidate resources, transmit resources on the one or more PSSCHs for transmitting the at least two transport blocks such that the at least two transport blocks are transmitted in one of: different subchannels of a same slot, or contiguous slots of a same subchannel. The UE may transmit the at least two transport blocks in the transmit resources. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for facilitating sidelink cancellation. A network entity, such as a base station, may schedule a sidelink transmission between a transmitting wireless communication device and a receiving wireless communication device and transmit scheduling information for the sidelink transmission to at least the transmitting wireless communication device. The network entity may further transmit control information including a cancellation indication to at least the transmitting UE. The cancellation indication may indicate at least an overlap between a portion of the resources allocated to the sidelink transmission and an additional transmission. Based on the cancellation indication, the transmitting wireless communication device may modify the sidelink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first and second user equipment (UE) may perform a handshake procedure to establish a cooperation agreement designating one or more frequency and time resources which the first UE is to act as the proxy device for the second UE. For example, the first UE may receive a sidelink message directed to a second UE from a third UE. The first UE may determine to act as a proxy device for the second UE with respect to the sidelink message based on the sidelink message being received during a time resource designated for the first UE to act as the proxy device for the second UE. The first UE may proceed to transmit to the third UE feedback information associated with the sidelink message, and may transmit the sidelink message to the second UE on behalf of the third UE.

Abstract: Network-controlled power control for side-link communications is disclosed. According to the described aspects, a power control framework is defined for network-controlled side-band or device-to-device (D2D) communications, in which transmission power for side-link communications may be stepped up enough for a base station in a connected mode with at least one of multiple user equipment (UE) devices to detect side-link communications between the UEs in order to take responsive action to enhance the reliability of the communications. The base station provides the configuration information to the UEs which may be used when preparing for transmissions of side-link traffic and/or feedback.
