Abstract:
A server may be configured to receive an indication that a first user device stores a particular content item; receive, from a second user device, a request for content; and determine that the requested content is available from the first user device. The determining may include determining that the particular content item stored by the first user device corresponds to the request for content, and determining that a local peer connection is available between the first user device and the second user device. The server may further output, to the first user device, an instruction to output the requested content to the second user device via the local peer connection, and/or the server may output, to the second user device, information which may allow the second user device to request the content from the first user device via a local peer connection.
Abstract:
Voice calls may be filtered and/or modified to enhance the clarity of a speaker's voice. In one implementation, a device may receive an indication, from a caller associated with a call, that speech of the caller is to be modified to deemphasize an accent of the caller. The device may modify, based on the received indication, the speech of the caller to deemphasize the accent of the caller and transmit the modified speech to a callee associated with the call.
Abstract:
Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services may be provided to a roaming mobile device, even when the home network of the mobile device does not provide VoLTE service. In one implementation, one or more devices in a network may determine based on a mobile device attaching to a network as a roaming device for the network, a home network of the mobile device. The devices may further determine whether the home network, associated with the mobile device, provides VoLTE services; transmit, based on the determination that the home network does not provide VoLTE services, a VoLTE client application to the mobile device, the VoLTE client application providing functionality, for the mobile device, relating to usage of VoLTE services in the network. The devices may further communicate with the mobile device and the VoLTE client application, to provide one or more VoLTE services to the mobile device.
Abstract:
A system may be configured to receive data. The system may be associated with a plurality of network interfaces that each correspond to a different radio access technology associated with one or more cellular networks. The system may identify one or more measures of load associated with each of the plurality of network interfaces; and output, based on the identified measures of load, a different portion of the received data to each network interface, of the group of network interfaces.
Abstract:
A method, a system, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an discovery service is provided. The discovery service may provide a network device to request for binding information from a binding service function. The request may or may not include information that indicates a type of policy control function. For example, the information may indicate a session management policy control function, an access management policy control function, or another dedicated type of policy control function.
Abstract:
A method, a network device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an application-aware scheduling service is provided. The application-aware scheduling service may be configured with bandwidth values and usability values for traffic of applications. The application-aware scheduling service may manage air interface scheduling based on the bandwidth and usability values. The application-aware scheduling service may perform packet inspection to identify an application relating to traffic. The application-aware scheduling service may be configured with a maximum bandwidth for traffic of applications.
Abstract:
A method may include receiving, by an access and mobility management function (AMF), a registration request from a user equipment (UE) device, and obtaining, by the AMF, at least one of subscriber-related information associated with the UE device or information associated with the UE device from a charging function (CHF). The method may also include determining, by the AMF and based on the obtained information, whether to establish an access and mobility (AM) policy association for the UE device. The method may further include initiating, in response to determining that the AM policy association for the UE device is to be established, the AM policy association for the UE device.
Abstract:
A system described herein may provide a technique for an inter-segment Network Function (“NF”) discovery procedure in a network that includes multiple discrete network segments. The network segments may each include a respective set of NFs. An NF discovery request may include discovery parameters such as an identifier of a User Equipment (“UE”). Network segments may be checked in a sequential or hierarchical manner to determine whether a respective network segment includes an instance of the requested NF that matches the discovery parameters (e.g., is associated with the UE identified in the NF discovery request).
Abstract:
A first network device may receive, from a second network device, a first policy control create request and may provide, to the second network device, a common policy control request trigger. The first network device may receive a second policy control create request associated with a user equipment (UE) and may cause a UE policy to be provided to the UE. The first network device may receive, from a third network device, a third policy control create request and may provide a network device policy to the third network device. The first network device may receive, from the second network device, a policy control update request based on the common policy control request trigger and may generate an updated UE policy or an updated network device policy based on the policy control update request.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and computer-readable mediums may provide receiving, at a request to establish an access and mobility (AM) policy control association in relation to an establishment of a data session requested by a user associated with a user equipment (UE) device; generating a query to a network device via a network interface, for AM policy control data and for at least one of UE policy control data or session management (SM) policy control data; receiving the AM policy control data and the at least one of the UE policy control data or the SM policy control data from the network device, creating the AM policy control association based on the received AM policy control data; and storing the at least one of the UE policy control data or the SM policy control data.
