Abstract: Various arrangements for recharging an energy source are provided herein. In response to a device having a state of charge below a first threshold, a mobile device, such as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can be provided location information for the device. The mobile device may travel to within a certain proximity from the device. The mobile device may then a connection with the device. A charging sequence may then be initiated to recharge the energy source of the device.

Abstract: Novel techniques are described for networked aggregation of distributed localized particulate air pollutant (LPAP) sensors. For example, a large number of sensors is distributed over a geographic region. Each sensor can detect local levels of one or more LPAPs, and can communicate the detected levels over one or more communications networks. A system can receive data samples for the LPAP levels from the sensors and can compute LPAP scores that are mapped to respective sub-regions of the geographic region. The computation can be a function of aggregating respective LPAP levels for at least those LPAP sensors in a particular sub-region of the geographic region, and also as a function of comparing the aggregation against an identified set of trigger thresholds for the LPAP of interest. In some cases, the computed and mapped LPAP scores can be output for display, for example, as a heat map, or the like.

The search results are prioritized based on the age of the viewer and presented to the viewer. In this way, searching for “dog” for a four year-old may provide or prioritize different results compared to search for “dog” for an eight year-old.

Abstract: Internet gateway provisioning and evaluation of embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) privileges is provided. The Internet gateway receives, from a device, a request to provision an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) of the device. The Internet gateway, in response to receiving the request to provision the eSIM of the device, causes the eSIM of the device to be provisioned with a profile. Provisioning the eSIM gives the device an ability to authenticate with a base station for communicating, via the base station, over a cellular communication protocol. The Internet gateway, after causing the eSIM to be provisioned, determines whether at least one criterion is met. The at least one criterion is for retaining or denying the ability of the device to authenticate with the base station. The Internet gateway, sends data, to a server, indicating that the at least one criterion is met.

The exceptions engine may include second computer instructions which configure the hub to monitor the monitored person for a deviation from the pattern defined in the pattern message, and when the deviation may be identified, generate a deviation message. The response engine may include third computer instructions which configure the hub to generate, based on the deviation message, a response message. The response message may instruct the hub to activate as least one of the activator and the sensor.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for detecting and remediating compression artifacts in multimedia items. In example aspects, a machine learning model is trained on a dataset related to compression artifacts and non-compression artifacts. Input data may then be collected by a data collection module and provided to a pattern recognition module. The pattern recognition module may extract visual and audio features of the multimedia item and provide the extracted features to the trained machine learning model. The trained machine learning model may compare the extracted features to the model, and a confidence value may be generated. The confidence value may be compared to a confidence value threshold. If the confidence value is equal to or exceeds the confidence threshold, then the input data may be classified as containing at least one compression artifact. Remedial action may subsequently be applied (e.g., boosting the system with technical resources).

Abstract: A facility for transferring configuration information to a target media device is described. The facility receives in the target media device a copy of media device settings stored in a source media device distinct from the target media device in a first form in which they are used in the source media device. This copy of media device settings is received by the target media device via a route other than its visual user interface. The facility causes the received copy of media device settings to be transformed into a second form in which they can be used in the target media device. The facility then stores the media receiver settings in the second form in the target media device for use by the target media device.
