    Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for transmitting a digital content stream through a network between at least one content server and a content player. The method includes communicating with the at least one content server to set up a plurality of parallel network connections on the network to transmit the digital content stream. The method further includes sending a first data request and a second data request within a first time limit via at least one tested network connection in the plurality of parallel network connections to evaluate whether pipelining of the digital content stream is possible for the at least one tested network connection. The method also includes utilizing pipelining to transmit the digital content stream over the at least one tested network connection based on a first response to the first data request and a second response to the second data request.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an earthquake and tsunami warning system and a transmission method for a primary notification message thereof. The transmission method includes: a base station pages all terminals via a paging message containing indication information of an earthquake and tsunami warning system (ETWS) message, and transmits security information of an ETWS primary notification message via the resource prearranged with the terminals, and basic information of the ETWS primary notification message is transmitted within the paging message or via the prearranged resource; the terminals receive the security information of the ETWS primary notification message via the prearranged resource after receiving the paging message containing indication information of the ETWS message, and obtains the basic information of the ETWS primary notification message from the paging message or receives the basic information of the ETWS primary notification message via the prearranged resource. The technical solution provided by the present disclosure can achieve the transmission of the ETWS primary notification message as well as meet the time delay requirement, and modify the base station and terminals slightly with little or no overhead increasing.

    Abstract: The aspects enable a processor to concurrently execute markup language code (e.g., HTML) having embedded scripting language code (e.g., JAVASCRIPT®) during a page load operation by a browser. A markup language parser parses markup language code until embedded scripting language code is encountered. The segment of embedded scripting language code is extracted for execution by a scripting language engine which proceeds concurrently with speculative parsing of the markup language code. Concurrent parsing of markup language code and execution of scripting language code, with partial roll back of the parsing process when necessary, continues until all markup language code has been parsed and all scripting language code has been executed.

    Abstract: A high-voltage LDMOSFET includes a semiconductor substrate, in which a gate well is formed. A source well and a drain well are formed on either side of the gate well, and include insulating regions within them that do not reach the full depth. An insulating layer is disposed on the substrate, covering the gate well and a portion of the source well and the drain well. A conductive gate is disposed on the insulating layer. Biasing wells are formed adjacent the source well and the drain well. A deep well is formed in the substrate such that it communicates with the biasing wells and the gate well, while extending under the source well and the drain well, such as to avoid them. Biasing contacts at the top of the biasing wells bias the deep well, and therefore also the gate well.
