Abstract: A method of video processing is provided. The method includes: determining, for a conversion between a current video unit of a video and a coded representation of the video, that applicability of a first coding tool and a second coding tool is mutually exclusive; and performing the conversion based on the determining, wherein the first coding tool corresponds to an adaptive color space transformation (ACT) tool; wherein use of the ACT tool comprises: converting, during encoding, a representation of a visual signal from a first color domain to a second color domain, or converting, during decoding, a representation of a visual signal from the second color domain to the first color domain.

In a representative aspect, a method for video coding includes receiving a bitstream representation of a current block of video data comprising a luma component and a chroma component, determining parameters of a linear model based on a first set of samples that are generated by down-sampling a second set of samples of the luma component, and processing, based on the parameters of the linear model, the bitstream representation to generate the current block.

The two partitions are generated according to a geometry partition mode, and the weights are selected from a first weighting factor group that at least one of the weights is equal to 0 or 1. The method also includes performing the conversion based on the determining.

The mechanism determines usage of one or more of a separate tree coding and a partitioning beyond a minimum size threshold for a video unit. The mechanism also disables a cross-component coding tool for the video unit based on the determination. A conversion between a visual media data and a bitstream is performed in accordance with the coding tool being disabled.
