    Abstract: Privacy control can be provided for displays that output content for users within an enclosed space. Display systems can include sensors that detect an external illuminance of an external environment outside the enclosed space. Based on the external illuminance and the brightness output by the display, the display system can control one or more of a variety of operating parameters to enhance privacy for the user within the enclosed space. For example, the display can be controlled with a reduced brightness when the external illuminance is low. By further example, windows separating the enclosed space from the external environment can be provided with an ability to adjust a transmissivity thereof and thereby reduce transmission of light from the display to the external environment. By further example, the display can be operated to change or omit certain content that has a relatively high privacy threshold.

    Abstract: A ball screw spline actuator includes a shaft, a ball nut, and a ball spline. The shaft includes a helical groove and a spline groove intersecting the helical groove forming intersections having a least one ridge including a first surface finish formed by a first manufacturing operation. The ridge is subsequently reformed through a second manufacturing operation to include a second surface finish to reduce stress concentrations in the ridge from cyclical loading from at least one of the ball nut or the ball spline. In one example, the second manufacturing operation reforms the ridge to include a surface finished edge.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for time division multiplexing sounding reference signal ports in a wireless communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a wireless link. The wireless device may be configured to perform a sounding reference signal transmission with time division multiplexing sounding reference signal ports. A maximum transmit power for the wireless device for the sounding reference signal transmission may be determined based at least in part on the time division multiplexing sounding reference signal ports. A transmit power may be selected for the sounding reference signal transmission based at least in part on the maximum transmit power for the wireless device for the sounding reference signal transmission. The sounding reference signal transmission may be performed using the selected transmit power.

The method includes receiving, by the UE, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order for transmitting a physical random access channel (PRACH) signal to the target candidate cell.     Abstract: A communications system may include a user equipment (UE) device that communicates with a cellular network having base stations. A UE may enter a connected mode in which the UE and a first base station in a first cell convey wireless data. While in connected mode, the first base station may transmit measurement objects to the UE, each being associated with a different cell neighboring the first cell. The UE may store the measurement objects. When the UE enters an idle mode, the UE may perform measurements on the neighboring cells using the measurement objects. The UE may then use the measurements to determine whether to re-select to a neighbor cell when the UE is unable to acquire a measurement configuration from the base station in idle mode. This may help to mitigate the occurrence of idle mode out-of-service (OOS) conditions for the UE device.
