Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for sustaining a link with a wireless network are provided. The apparatus communicates data with the wireless network via a first link with a first base station, acquires a resource to perform a beam training sequence with a second base station, wherein the acquired resource allows the beam training sequence with the second base station to be performed while the data is communicated via the first link, performs the beam training sequence and exchanging signaling information with the second base station using the resource to establish a second link to the second base station, evaluates a link strength of the second link based on the beam training sequence, and determines whether to switch the data communication from the first link to the second link based on the evaluation.
Abstract:
In a first configuration, the apparatus may be a base station. The base station adjusts a periodicity for performing a beam sweep, sends information indicating the adjusted periodicity for performing a beam sweep, and performs the beam sweep at the adjusted periodicity. In a second configuration, the apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives information indicating a periodicity for performing a beam sweep from a base station, adjusts the periodicity for performing the beam sweep, and performs the beam sweep at the adjusted periodicity. For both configurations, the beam sweep is a plurality of transmissions of a beam in a plurality of different transmit spatial directions by one of the base station or the UE and a plurality of scans of the beam transmissions in a plurality of different scan spatial directions by an other of the one of the base station or the UE.
Abstract:
In an aspect, a method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus codes a peer discovery message for peer discovery. The apparatus generates a plurality of different redundancy versions of the coded peer discovery message. The apparatus transmits each of the different redundancy versions of the coded peer discovery message in a different allocated time period. In another aspect, a method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives at least one redundancy version of a coded peer discovery message. The apparatus attempts to decode the received at least one redundancy version of the coded peer discovery message.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus is embodied in a device that determines a first set of antenna weights for communicating a first communication ray, detects a change in a physical orientation of the device, determines a mapping between the first set of antenna weights, the detected change in the physical orientation, and a second set of antenna weights for communicating a second communication ray, communicates the second communication ray based on the second set of antenna weights.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for configuring an image sensor for processing a visible light communication (VLC) signal are provided. The apparatus instructs the image sensor to operate at a first exposure setting, the first exposure setting lower than a second exposure setting for capturing a photographic image, captures, via the image sensor, at least one VLC signal frame at the first exposure setting, detects at least one communication symbol included in the at least one captured VLC signal frame, and decodes a message associated with the at least one VLC signal frame captured by the image sensor by decoding a number of detected communication symbols.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines timing information associated with a synchronization signal to be transmitted. The timing information includes a hop count and a reliability indicator associated with the synchronization signal. The reliability indicator is independent of the hop count and indicates one of reliable or unreliable. The UE broadcasts the timing information with the synchronization signal. The hop count may be a number of hops the synchronization signal is from a base station synchronization signal received from a base station.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may measure an interference that satisfies a threshold, wherein the interference is associated with cross-link interference from a second UE or self-interference by the first UE, and wherein the interference is on one or more resources configured for the first UE. The UE may transmit, to a serving cell of the first UE and in accordance with the interference satisfying the threshold, an indication that includes a parameter modifying full duplex (FD) communication on the one or more resources. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
A method for wireless communication at a UE and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE receives, from a network entity, a resource configuration including a set of communication resources for one or more CSI-RSs and one or more SRSs; and communicates with the network entity on the one or more CSI-RSs and on the one or more SRSs. A set of SRS beam weights used for communicating on the one or more SRSs is based on at least one CSI-RS of the one or more CSI-RSs, or a set of CSI-RS beam weights used for communicating on the one or more CSI-RSs is based on at least one SRS of the one or more SRSs prior to the one or more CSI-RSs in a resource sequence.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a sidelink carrier aggregation configuration including a configuration for sidelink radio link failure (RLF) detection by: selecting one or more sidelink carriers, detecting a sidelink carrier failure associated with a failed sidelink carrier from among the one or more sidelink carriers, and recovering from the sidelink carrier failure in accordance with a reselection of at least one of the one or more sidelink carriers from among one or more candidate sidelink carriers. The UE may transmit a sidelink communication in accordance with the one or more sidelink carriers. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform a decoding operation on a downlink message for the UE. The UE may store, in a buffer of the UE, decoding information associated with the decoding operation on the downlink message based at least in part on the decoding operation on the downlink message being at least partially unsuccessful. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to a network entity, a report indicating buffer usage information of the buffer of the UE, where the buffer usage information indicates one or more parameters associated with the decoding information stored in the buffer of the UE. In some cases, the buffer usage information may indicate one or more transport blocks for which entries are present in the buffer of the UE.
