Abstract:
An assembly of an airbag module includes an airbag housing receiving an airbag cushion and a steering wheel having a mounting plate part. The airbag housing has first hooks, the mounting plate part has second hooks coupled with the first hooks, respectively, and at least one of the first and second hooks has a protective member, at least a portion of which is interposed between the first and second hooks to prevent abrasion and contact noise between the first and second hooks due to the elastic movement of the airbag housing to the mounting plate part. The assembly minimizes the striking noise and the abrasion caused by friction between the airbag housing and the mounting plate part through the preventive member due to the elastic movement of the airbag housing to the mounting plate part.
Abstract:
This airbag device includes a first protective cover and a second protective cover which store and protect an airbag. The airbag has a tab formed between the first protective cover and the second protective cover so as to protrude outward approximately in parallel with a longitudinal direction of the airbag. The tab has one end connected to the first protective cover and the other end connected to the second protective cover.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a curtain airbag module including a curtain airbag cushion, an inflator of supplying and inflating gas into the curtain airbag cushion, and a lamp bracket fixed on a vehicle panel to support the curtain airbag cushion which is integrally provided with a lamp pattern to deploy the curtain airbag cushion into a vehicle without deploying the curtain airbag cushion into a pillar trim of a vehicle in the deployment of the curtain airbag cushion by driving the inflator. The lamp pattern wraps up at least a portion of the folded curtain airbag cushion. The lamp pattern initially wrapping up the folded curtain airbag cushion guides the curtain airbag cushion to the interior of the vehicle when the curtain airbag cushion is deployed, thereby preventing the curtain airbag cushion from being inserted into the pillar trim, so that the curtain airbag cushion is stably deployed.
Abstract:
A fabric for a seam region of an inflatable air-bag includes fibres formed from polyester and having an elongation at break of around 12% to 20%. The fabric also has an instantaneous thermal creep above 0.5% at 100° C.
Abstract:
A seatbelt device for a vehicle. The seatbelt device includes a seatbelt connected at a first end to retractor and connected at a second end to a belt position changing member, which is movable between forward and rearward positions relative to the vehicle. The second end of the seatbelt is connected to the belt position changing member such that the position of the second end of the seatbelt changes relative to the belt position changing member, as the belt position changing member is moved from the rearward position to the forward position, thereby preventing the webbing of the seatbelt from twisting and inverting of the tongue plate upon activation of the belt position changing member, the latter which makes the tongue the plate difficult for an occupant to reach.
Abstract:
An airbag housing is carried on a formed part extending from a lower section of an instrument panel for a motor vehicle. The formed part forms at least a front section of an upper wall of a footwell assigned to the vehicle occupants. A knee air-bag is disposed in the airbag housing.
Abstract:
A frontal airbag assembly has a housing defining an airbag space. An inflatable compacted airbag cushion is arranged in the airbag space and has a gas inlet connected to a gas generator. A wrapper having a front end attached outside of the housing to the front wall or the bottom wall of the housing and a rear end attached to the rear wall or the bottom wall of the housing. A guide flap extends between the wrapper and the airbag cushion and has an outer end attached to the wrapper between the front end and a split line of the wrapper, a first inward fold between the split line and the rear wall, and an inner end arranged between the wrapper and an upper portion of the front wall. The guide flap is released when the split line has separated the wrapper into a front portion and a rear portion.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle airbag. The vehicle airbag includes a deployment restricting member linked with an upper portion of a rear surface part of an outer portion of the vehicle airbag, prepared in a strip shape, and having one end statically fixed with a collar of the vehicle airbag in adjacent to the collar of the vehicle airbag and an opposite end coupled with the upper portion of the rear surface part of the outer portion of the vehicle airbag, thereby delaying the rear surface part of the vehicle airbag. A tear part is provided at the central portion of the deployment restricting member so that the tear part is torn under a predetermined pressure. In initial deployment of the vehicle airbag, the upper portion of the rear surface part of the airbag is confined in a folded state, so that the lower portion of the airbag is first inflated. The airbag is prevented from being suddenly inflated, thereby preventing the chest, the neck, or the head of the occupant from being injured.
Abstract:
A belt placer is provided for positioning the belt portion of a vehicle safety belt system and includes a drive apparatus and an engagement component that is drivably movable by the drive apparatus into engagement with a respective one of the belt and the closure tongue arranged on the belt. The engagement component positions the belt in a ready position relative to the vehicle occupant in which the belt is positioned for buckling and the engagement component being returned into its resting position in connection with buckling or unbuckling of the belt. The drive apparatus includes a feed roller and a flexible push- and pull-device in the form of a bending-resistant band which is brought from the flat disposition in which it is wound around the feed roller into an arched or cambered position around its longitudinal axis as it is unwound from the feed roller.
Abstract:
A securement arrangement for a seat belt closure of a three-point seat belt system in a vehicle comprises an anchor piece secured to the vehicle, a closure body, and a generally U-shaped closure body retaining assembly for mounting the closure body on the anchor piece. A spring disposed between a pair of U-forming legs of the closure body retaining assembly biases the closure body into its home position. A contact element emits a signal to be processed by an onboard signal processing unit when the closure body, due to the application thereto of a load imposed by the seat belt, is displaced so as to overcome the biasing force of the spring. The contact element correspondingly moves out of contact and emits a signal in response to its movement out of contact.
