    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a surface cleaning head, a rigid air flow conduit moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head and moveable to a reclined in use position and a hand vacuum cleaner removably mounted to an upstream end of the rigid air flow conduit. The hand vacuum cleaner has a handle and a cyclone having a cyclone axis of rotation which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rigid air flow conduit when the hand vacuum cleaner is mounted to the upstream end of the rigid air flow conduit. When the hand vacuum cleaner is mounted to the upstream end of the rigid air flow conduit, the handle is a driving handle for the surface cleaning apparatus.

    Abstract: A portable surface cleaning unit is disclosed. The surface cleaning apparatus includes a surface cleaning head having a dirty air inlet, an upper portion moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position, a portable surface cleaning unit comprising a suction motor and an air treatment member removably mounted to the upper portion, a cleaning wand removably mounted to the upper portion, a flexible air flow conduit forming at least part of an air flow path from the wand to the surface cleaning unit, and a wand lock having a locked position in which the wand is secured to the upper portion and an unlocked position in which the wand is removable from the upper portion. The wand lock may include a wand release actuator which is provided on the wand and is removable with the wand from the upper portion.

    Abstract: An all in the head surface cleaning apparatus can include a surface cleaning head having an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet. The surface cleaning head can include a cyclone assembly comprising a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber. The cyclone chamber may have a longitudinal cyclone axis, a cyclone air inlet and a cyclone air outlet. The dirt collection chamber may be moveable between an in use position and an emptying position. The surface cleaning head may include a pre-motor filter chamber and a suction motor. At least one of the pre-motor filter and a pre-motor filter chamber may be visible when the dirt collection chamber is in the emptying position. An upper portion may be mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position, and may include a drive handle.

    Abstract: An all in the head surface cleaning apparatus may have a surface cleaning head including a front end, a rear end, first and second laterally opposed sidewalls. The surface cleaning head may include a cyclone assembly comprising a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber. The cyclone chamber may have a longitudinal cyclone axis, a cyclone assembly air inlet port and a cyclone assembly air outlet port. The cyclone assembly may be moveable from a cleaning position to a cyclone assembly removal position. The surface cleaning head may include a biasing member biasing the cyclone assembly away from the cleaning position, and a suction motor having a suction motor air inlet and a suction motor axis. The apparatus may include an upper portion moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position, the upper portion comprising a drive handle.
