Abstract:
A composition, systems for dispensing the composition and methods for the use of the composition are described. The composition comprises: (A) Monohydric alcohol in an amount sufficient to provide antimicrobial activity; (B) Surfactant comprising a dimethicone surfactant; and (C) Builder, the builder in an amount sufficient to provide stability or to improve the stability of a foam formed from the composition.

Abstract:
A cleaning composition with a limited number of natural ingredients contains alkyl polyglucoside and a solvent selected from the group consisting of ethanol, sorbitol, glycerol, propylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol and mixtures thereof. The cleaning composition optionally contains fragrance or essential oil. The cleaning composition optionally has a small amount of buffer, such as a natural inorganic buffer. The cleaning composition can be used to clean hard surfaces and cleans as well or better than commercial compositions containing synthetically derived cleaning agents.

Abstract:
The invention discloses methods of making and uses for wide spectrum disinfectants including as components an alcohol, O-phenylphenol, chlorhexidine gluconate, nonoxynol-9, benzalkonium chloride, and deionised double distilled water wherein on a weight/volume ratio the alcohol comprises from 50 to 80%, the O-phenylphenol comprises from 0.1% to 0.8%, the chlorhexidine gluconate comprises from 0.01 to 1%, the nonoxynol-9 comprises from 0.02 to 1%, and the benzalkonium chloride comprises from 0.15 to 1%.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ester quat concentrate suitable for production of fabric softeners at lower temperatures comprising a) an esterquat compound; b) an organic solvent; c) water; d) a pH modifier. Although the presence of water in an ester quat concentrate is generally avoided due to the latter well known instability towards hydrolysis reaction, in the present invention, water is essential to the dispersibility at lower temperatures, which consequently leads to a significant increase in the final product viscosity. One way to solve this problem is by keeping the hydrolysis under control through the addition of a pH modifier.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a “high lower alcohol content” (>40% v/v of a C1-4 alcohol) liquid composition able to be dispensed as a stable foam with the use of non-propellant foam dispensing devices from non-pressurized containers. The liquid compositions comprise a C1-4 alcohol, (>40% v/v), a silicone-based surfactant of at least 0.001% by weight for foaming to prepare a foamable composition, 0-10% w/w of additional minor components added to obtain the desired performance (a foamable composition), and the balance being purified water. The compositions may include emulsifier-emollients and mosturizers, secondary surfactants, foam stabilizers, fragrances, antimicrobial agents, other type of medicinal ingredients, and the like ingredients or additives or combinations thereof commonly added to alcohol gels or foams, aerosol compositions or to toiletries, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and the like.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a thickened rinseless hand sanitizer composition comprising a quaternary ammonium compound. The invention also pertains to a method of applying to the skin of a human a thickened rinseless hand sanitizer composition that comprises a quaternary ammonium compound that evaporates off the skin. The invention further pertains to a thickened rinseless hand sanitizer composition comprising a quaternary ammonium compound with additional functional ingredients. Finally, the invention pertains to a thickened rinseless hand sanitizer composition comprising a quaternary ammonium compound composed of food additive ingredients.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition for treating and removing residue containing hydrocarbons and other flammable substances uses a mixture of one or more cleaning members containing quaternary salts, a chelator and a dispersant, mixed with water. The preferred cleaning members are tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide, tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, benzethonium hydrochloride and 2-butoxyethanol. The chelator is tetrasodium salt ethylenediamine of tetraacetic acid, and the dispersant is polyvinyl alcohol. Optionally, the cleaner contains ethanol and isopropyl alcohol.
