A cradle for a mobile phone includes a rear bearing surface; left and right side walls; two guide rails being located on the front side of the left and right side walls and protruding laterally from the side walls; a bottom part comprising a connector element for mechanically and electrically engaging a bottom connector of the mobile phone, the rear bearing surface, said side walls and the guide rails define left and right slots extending parallel to the side walls for receiving left and right side sections of a mobile phone; guiding a phone being inserted into the cradle to the bottom part; and retaining a mobile phone received against forces acting in a direction substantially perpendicular to the slots; how to lock the connector element onto a bottom connector of a mobile phone received in the cradle for retaining the mobile phone inside the cradle is shown.

Abstract:
A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for enhancing memory erase functionality. An apparatus may include a block-based mass memory and a controller configured to receive an erase command from a host device comprising an indication of a location of a block in the mass memory storing memory allocation data. The controller may be further configured to access the memory allocation data based at least in part upon the indicated location. The controller may additionally be configured to determine, based at least in part upon the memory allocation data, blocks within the mass memory that have been freed by the host device. The controller may also be configured to erase the freed blocks. Corresponding methods and computer program products are also provided.
Abstract:
A method of configuring routers facilitates handoff of user equipment from a router to another router. The method includes configuring a virtual interface in a current router used by user equipment. The method also includes assigning a global address to the virtual interface. The global address is assigned to the virtual interface that is used to facilitate handoff of the user equipment from a current router to a new router. A system, router and user equipment are configured to implement the method.
Abstract:
A method of reproducing at least two digital video sequences. The method includes multiplexing a first digital video sequence with a second digital video sequence, pictures of the second digital video sequence are included in advance in a video stream and are associated with timing information such that a receiver will not decode and reproduce the pictures of the second digital video sequence. The method includes composing the at least two digital video sequences into the video stream in correspondence with a result of the multiplexing and subsequently including a sequence of dummy timing pictures into the video stream. The dummy timing pictures are inter-predicted and are coded by omitting any prediction error data.
Abstract:
A user may select a profile to serve as an active profile on a device, and content objects associated with the active profile may be stored on the device responsive to the selection. Content objects that are not associated with the active profile may be transferred to one or more additional devices based on a prioritization scheme. Content object download operations may take advantage of the prioritization scheme to determine a storage device for a downloaded content object.
Abstract:
The specification and drawings present a new method, apparatus and software product for pictorial identification of a communication event using speech or text recognition in an electronic device. The communication can be (but is not limited to) a telephone call, an electronic mail message, MMS, SMS, an instant message, etc. Words from the communication event are identified using the speech or text recognition by the electronic device and at least one picture out of a library of reference pictures is identified by comparing the identified words with the key picture words using a predetermined criterion. Color background of the identified standard picture can be also identified using the identified words and a further predetermined criterion. The identified picture can be displayed during the communications event or can be stored so the user can identify the topic of the communication event later on.

The present invention is related to methods, apparatuses, systems and computer software for determining an amount of physical resources for downlink transmission, and allocating uplink physical resources for transmission of data-non-associated control signaling based at least on the amount of physical resources for downlink transmission. The amount of physical resources for downlink transmission comprises an amount of downlink control signaling. The present invention further relates to a framework for mapping the dedicated uplink control channels directly to single physical resource blocks. The framework is able to efficiently shift physical resources to and from the uplink control channel for ACK/NACK reports, in a data-non-associated control signaling scheme and on a per subframe basis. The present invention is also concerned with scheduler, for example an eNodeB scheduler, which uses its scheduling history and knowledge of user equipment capabilities to increase utilization of uplink resources.

A method including correlating a code having a first offset with a signal to produce a first correlation result; correlating the code having a second offset with the signal to produce a second correlation result; determining a cost function using the first correlation result and the second correlation result; and adjusting the first offset and the second offset in dependence upon the cost function, wherein the cost function uses a first weighting for the first correlation result and a second, different weighting for the second correlation result.
