Abstract:
Provided are media vacuum transport systems including media vacuum transport members, methods of making media vacuum transport members, and method of transporting media. In accordance with various embodiments, there is a media vacuum transport system including a vacuum plenum one or more transport members configured to rotate around the vacuum plenum and wherein at least one of the one or more transport members can include a substrate, the substrate comprising a plurality of holes extending from a first side proximate to the vacuum plenum to a second side proximate to the media, and a top coat layer disposed over the substrate, wherein the top coat layer can include a plurality of particles dispersed in a resin to provide an average surface roughness Ra of about 2 μm to about 100 μm.
Abstract:
An intermediate transfer member, such as a belt, that includes, for example, a supporting substrate, a silane first intermediate layer, and contained on the silane layer a second layer of a self crosslinking acrylic resin; a mixture of a glycoluril resin and an acrylic polyol resin; or a mixture of a glycoluril resin and a self crosslinking acrylic resin.
Abstract:
The presently disclosed embodiments are directed generally to an improved electrostatographic imaging member in which the overcoat layer comprises cross-linkable polyester resins. The overcoat layer not only provides wear resistance, but it also provides higher charge transport efficiency and therefore better photoelectrical properties. In addition, the polyesters can cross-link with a variety of resins and thus provide good adhesion as well.
Abstract:
Provided are coating composites for imaging members, imaging members, and apparatuses for forming an image. In accordance with various embodiments, there is a coating composite for imaging components. The coating composite can include a film forming resin and a plurality of surface treated carbon black particles substantially uniformly dispersed in the film forming resin, wherein each of the plurality of surface treated carbon black particles includes one or more fluorosilanes bonded to a surface of the carbon black particle.

Abstract:
Various embodiments provide materials and methods for bias charging members including an outer surface coating, wherein the outer surface coating can include carbon nanotubes combined with polymer(s) to provide desirable surface, electrical, and/or mechanical properties.
Abstract:
Disclosed are bias charge rollers having an overcoat layer. The overcoat layer comprises an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) terpolymer and metal oxide particles optionally doped with a doping agent. The resulting bias charge rollers have reduced streaking and increased service lifetimes.
Abstract:
An intermediate transfer member that contains a polymer of a polyester, a polycarbonate and a polyalkylene glycol, such as a polyethylene glycol, and further including as an optional component a conductive material such as a metal oxide or carbon black.
Abstract:
Disclosed are overcoat layers comprising an acrylic resin crosslinked with a glycoluril resin. The overcoat layers are useful in bias charge rollers because they reduce streaking and increase service lifetime.
