Abstract:
One described embodiment of a device for predetermining the quantities of liquid delivered by a meter, said meter having a valve to control the delivery and means for measuring the quantity of liquid delivered, comprises a rotatable cam and a transmission having a variable transmission ratio adapted to be driven by said quantity measuring means for rotating said cam. A valve closure controlling lever having a portion engageable with said cam is arranged for closing said valve in at least one angular position of said cam upon completion of a constant angular displacement by said cam from a stop position. A selector is provided for choosing a desired transmission ratio and thus selecting a predetermined quantity of liquid to be delivered while the cam rotates through said constant angular displacement. The lever is temporarily inhibited from on the valve upon opening of said valve to rotate said cam from said at least one angular position through said constant displacement thus permitting the start of a new delivery of the same predetermined quantity by just opening the valve.
Abstract:
A gear box or mechanical speed variator particularly for liquid distributing measuring apparatus comprising a set of nine crown wheels arranged concentrically and whose number of teeth varies in the ratio of 1 to 9, said set of wheels cooperating with an assembly of sliding gears, each one of said gear selectively coming into engagement with any one of the gears of the multiple gear device.
Abstract:
Force balance comprising a beam placed inside an enclosure separated from the outer medium by means of a non-magnetic sealtight wall in which the means for measuring the position deviation and for transmitting the rebalancing force are made by a fluidic regulating device having a blade provided on one end thereof with a magnetic mass cooperating through the seal-tight wall with another magnetic mass placed on one end of the beam.
Abstract:
The device comprises a force balance including several windings, switches being provided for selective connection of any of the windings in the circuit of the force balance to compensate for different ranges of measurement.
Abstract:
The device comprises a variable cycle ratio modulator on which is applied a first input signal, an inverter-switch connected to the modulator output and on which is applied the second input signal, an integrator circuit connected to the inverter-switch, to a two-threshold comparator and to an inversion device, and a device for counting the signals from the comparator.
Abstract:
Method and device for metering a vector particularly applicable to the metering of a fluid velocity in which the method comprises the use of a first apparatus giving the components of the vector according to two perpendicular directions, a second apparatus giving the components of a known field according to said directions and electric means to process the components coming from said first and second apparatus and give at the output thereof an information of the vector in relation to the known field.
Abstract:
Phase comparing process and device in which the alternations of both a reference electric magnitude and an electric magnitude to be checked are converted into rectangular pulses, then the rectangular pulse corresponding to the magnitude to be checked is derivated, in order to determine whether or not there exists a time coincidence between said derivative and each rectangular signal corresponding to the reference electric magnitude.
