Abstract:
A multi-engine power plant, includes a first internal combustion engine module having an air intake and an output shaft for delivering power, a second internal combustion engine module having an air intake and an output shaft for delivering power, and a single throttle body operatively connected to the air intakes of both the first and second engine modules, for controlling a flow of air to the intakes of the engine modules at a common manifold absolute pressure (MAP) of both engine modules during operation of one or both of the engine modules. The power plant also includes a selectively engagable clutch for operatively coupling the output shaft of the second engine module to the output shaft of the first engine module, to thereby produce a common torque output from the first and second engine modules.
Abstract:
A sun shield assembly for detachable attachment to an infant's seat includes a pair of mounting brackets and a hood mountable in the brackets. Each bracket is formed with a base having an adhesive material on one face thereof and a hollow cylindrical boss projecting from the other face of the boss. The hood is given a pair of cylindrical pivot pins which extend from the opposed side walls of the hood and are dimensioned to pivot within the corresponding boss of the mounting bracket. The hood is made of a material which is sufficiently resilient such that the side walls can be separated to a spaced apart distance whereby the pivot pins can be inserted into the respective bosses.

A self-cleaning catalytic coating for cooking oven walls comprises a mutually sintered matrix of hard catalyst particles and binder particles.The coating is preferably made by forming large hard catalyst particles, such as compressed pellets, milling them to the required size range, typically averaging above 2 microns, then incorporating them with a binder and applying the mixture to a substrate.

A portable high intensity lamp comprising of a housing having a lamp supported in it and also carrying a battery and a switch relay and circuitry to energize and de-energize the light source from the battery, and a remote control trigger device and connecting line to the circuitry within the housing arranged to be removably supported in the housing, means being provided to hold the trigger device in the housing during transport, the trigger having a test and also an energize switch to operate the circuitry in the housing to thereby energize the light source, the test circuit being arranged to cause flow of current insufficient to actuate the switch relay but sufficient to test continuity of the line and establishment of correct operating conditions of the circuitry and light source prior to energization.

A method of operating an indicia reader for reading information bearing indicia (IBI) positioned in a field of view of the reader includes: transmitting a first laser light beam adapted for scanning an IBI on a target located a first distance from the indicia reader; transmitting a second laser light beam adapted for scanning an IBI on a target located a second distance greater than the first distance from the indicia reader; activating at least one of the first and second laser light beams; scanning at least one of the laser light beams with a flat unitary scan mirror to generate at least one of a first laser light beam pattern and a second laser light beam pattern; directing light reflected from the target from either the first or second laser light beams patterns through a common receive path; the common receive path including being reflected with the flat unitary scan mirror onto a focusing mirror; the focusing mirror directing reflected light along a directed reflected light path; the directed reflected light path including an optical filter outputting directed reflected light; converting the directed reflected light into an output signal with a photodetector; decoding IBI information derived from the output signal, wherein the operating steps are completed by devices supported in a hand held indicia reader housing and wherein an operator selectively activates the first laser light beam and/or the second laser light beam with a single action trigger.

An apparatus for preparing a cassette spool. The apparatus includes: a supply reel for supplying and unrolling tape material on original backing paper; at least one cutting member for cutting unrolled tape material while on original backing paper; at least one removing member for removing uncut unrolled tape material from original backing paper; an identification member for identifying on unrolled original backing paper a start of unrolled cut tape material; and a cassette spool for rolling up unrolled cut tape material on original backing paper. In further embodiments, methods are provided for preparing a cassette spool with cut tape material on original backing paper.
Abstract:
Systems are provided for a blade installation tool. The blade installation tool may include a vertical guide having a vertical ram path. A ram may be disposed along the vertical guide. The ram can move along the vertical ram path between a lower position and an upper position at a height above the lower position. Gravity may drive the ram from the upper position toward the lower position to provide an impact force of the ram against a blade segment of a turbine or a compressor. The height of the upper position is variable so as to control the impact force.
