Abstract: A cooling system for a vehicle that system includes a radiator disposed in a front of the vehicle, and introduced with cooling water thereinto to cool the cooling water through heat exchange with exterior air;. In addition, a first condenser is disposed at a first side of the radiator in a width direction of the vehicle and connected with the radiator via a cooling water pipe to be introduced with the cooling water, and introduced with refrigerant via a refrigerant pipe to condense the refrigerant through heat exchange with the cooling water therein. A second condenser is interconnected with the first condenser via the refrigerant pipe to be introduced with the refrigerant condensed by the first condenser, and disposed in a front of the radiator to additionally condense the refrigerant through mutual heat exchange of the exterior air introduced while driving the vehicle and the refrigerant.

Abstract: A tube for use in a heat exchanger comprises a first portion spaced apart from a second portion. At least one reinforcing structure having a non-circular cross-sectional shape extends between the first portion and the second portion to divide a flow of a fluid through the tube into a first flow channel to one side of the at least one reinforcing structure and a second flow channel to a second side of the at least one reinforcing structure. A fluid communication channel provides fluid communication between the first flow channel and the second flow channel. The fluid communication channel is at least one of a) formed through the at least one reinforcing structure and b) formed between two adjacent ones of the reinforcing structures.

Abstract: An air conditioning system for motor vehicles includes a temperature door configured to adjust an opening degree of a hot air path, a PTC heater configured to heat an air introduced into the hot air path, and a control unit configured to control an opening position of the temperature door with respect to the hot air path and to secure a minimum opening degree of the hot air path, so that a minimum amount of air is blown toward the PTC heater regardless of the opening position of the temperature door. The control unit is configured to actively adjust the minimum opening degree of the hot air path depending on an on/off condition of the PTC heater.

Abstract: A heating and air conditioning device includes a warm air path that leads through a heat exchanger to a mixing chamber and to outlets of the heating and air conditioning device, and a cold air path that leads from the evaporator to the mixing chamber and the outlets of the heating and air conditioning device. A warm air duct is located at an end of the warm air path and an entrance to the mixing chamber. A cold air duct is located at the end of the cold air path and the entrance to the mixing chamber. One or more openings are formed on one of a side wall of the warm air duct and a side wall of the cold air duct so that air can flow from the cold air path into the warm air duct and from the warm air path into the cold air duct.

Abstract: A tank for a heat exchanger includes a casing including a substantially planar header opening formed therein and a foot disposed around a perimeter of the header opening. The foot forms an outwardly extending flange from which a pair of oppositely arranged walls extend, the oppositely arranged walls forming an arcuate shape including a spine extending along an apex of the arcuate shape. The oppositely arranged walls each have a corrugated profile adjacent the foot due to the presence of outwardly projecting ribs formed in the oppositely arranged walls. Each of the ribs extend lengthwise from the foot toward the spine, wherein a distal end of each of the ribs is formed adjacent a neutral stress portion of the casing which undergoes a minimal stress when the casing is subjected to an internal pressure from a fluid flowing there through.
