Abstract: A method of making a strain wave includes the steps of a) providing a circular spline, a flexspline meshed with the circular spline, and an initial wave generator having an initial outer profile of a standard ellipse with a perimeter S0, and b) producing a modified wave generator rotatably fitted within the flexspline and having a modified outer profile with a perimeter S. A difference ES between the perimeter S of the modified outer profile and the perimeter S0 of the initial outer profile satisfies the equation ES=S−S0=0.1 m to 0.8 m, wherein m is the modulus of the flexspline. Through a special parameter design of the modified wave generator, the meshing ratio between the circular spline and the flexspline is increased, thereby improving the transmission accuracy and reducing the average load.

Abstract: A linear transmission device includes a shaft, a moving member movably provided on the shaft, and a lubrication unit provided at the moving member. The lubrication unit has a lubricant container and a block. The lubricant container has a storage space which communicates with the interior of the moving member via a lubricant dispensing opening. The block is provided in the storage space of the lubricant container and can be displaced by an inertial force generated by movement of the moving member so that, during its displacement, the block squeezes the lubricant in the storage space, thereby driving the lubricant into the interior of the moving member through the lubricant dispensing opening for lubrication.

Abstract: A linear guide with lubrication device includes: a elongate rail; a slide module slidably mounted on the elongate rail and including a slide block and two recirculation members, which are respectively mounted to two end faces of the slide block and include a plurality of recirculation passages, in which at least one of the recirculation members includes a lubricant reservoir and a fixing through hole formed therein such that the lubricant reservoir, the recirculation passage, and the fixing through hole are in communication with each other and the lubricant reservoir receives lubricant filled therein; an application member received in the fixing through hole; a transferring member covering the application member and the transferring member absorbing and transferring lubricant to the application member. Rolling bodies, when moving through the recirculation passage, may contact the application member to have lubricant applied thereto.

Abstract: A method of detecting a preload of a linear guide includes: applying an external force to the linear guide with an external force applying device, wherein the external force applying device sends an impact signal while applying the external force; sensing with a sensor a vibration signal sent from the linear guide because of vibration thereof which occurs under the external force; and receiving the impact signal of the external force applying device and the vibration signal of the sensor and calculating the preload of the linear guide according to a received result, with a signal analyzer. Therefore, with the method of the present invention, the preload of the linear guide is precisely tested regardless of environmental factors.

Abstract: A dustproof device is provided for use with a ball screw which includes a screw rod and a nut mounted around the screw rod. The dustproof device includes an annular body and an elastic valve plate. The annular body is provided at one end of the nut and penetrated by the screw rod and has an outer annular surface provided with a debris exit. The debris exit has one end in communication with a spiral passage formed between the screw rod and the nut. The elastic valve plate, which is provided at the opposite end of the debris exit of the annular body, can be pushed open by a fluid and thus opens the debris exit, allowing the debris generated by the ball screw to be discharged through the debris exit along with the fluid, thereby contributing to extending the service life of the ball screw.

Abstract: A driving method used in a driver device for driving an electric gripper is disclosed to include the step of providing a state signal that is generated according to the operation state of the electric gripper, the step of receiving an action instruction and detecting a feedback signal indicative of the action of the electric gripper when the state signal is an idle state, and the step of outputting the action instruction if the action of the electric gripper indicative of the action instruction is not in consistency with the action of the electric gripper indicative of the feedback signal. Thus, the driving method of the present invention needs not to provide a trigger signal for commanding the electric gripper to execute the action instruction.
