Abstract:
Embodiments of a station (STA), access point (AP) and method for determination of transmit power for spatial reuse are generally described herein. The STA may detect, in the channel, an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) physical layer convergence procedure protocol data unit (PPDU) from an OBSS AP. The STA may determine, based at least partly on an ESS color parameter included in the OBSS PPDU, whether the OBSS AP is included in the ESS network. The STA may determine an OBSS power threshold based at least partly on whether the OBSS AP is included in the ESS network. The STA may determine, based at least partly on a comparison between the OBSS power threshold and a received power of the OBSS PPDU, whether to transmit an uplink PPDU to the BSS AP in the channel during the TXOP.
Abstract:
Embodiments of an access point (AP) may comprise memory and processing circuitry coupled to the memory, and transceiver circuitry coupled to the processing circuitry. The processing circuitry of the AP may be configured to generate a trigger frame to allocate a center 26 tone RU for an HE-trigger-based PPDU, the center 26 tone RU having an adjacent upper 20 MHz subchannel and an adjacent lower 20 MHz subchannel. In an embodiment, the center 26 tone RU is for a station (STA) and wherein the trigger frame indicates to the STA to transmit a pre-HE-STF preamble on one of the adjacent upper 20 MHz subchannel, the adjacent lower 20 MHz subchannel, or both the adjacent upper and lower 20 MHz subchannels, and configure the wireless device to transmit the trigger frame to the station.
Abstract:
Methods, computer readable media, and wireless apparatuses are disclosed for trigger frame recovery. An apparatus of a wireless device is disclosed. The apparatus comprising processing circuitry configured to: encode a trigger frame comprising a resource allocation for one or more stations, where the trigger frame comprises a network allocation vector (NAV) duration. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the wireless device to transmit the trigger frame to the one or more stations. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the wireless device to contend for the wireless medium a first time, encode a retransmission of the trigger frame, and configure the wireless device to transmit the retransmission of the trigger frame to the one or more stations, if a frame is not received from the one or more stations in response to the trigger frame before a trigger frame timeout duration.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for spatial reuse for uplink multi-user transmissions. An apparatus of a station comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry may be configured to decode a first portion of a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU), and configure the station to transmit a frame, if the PPDU is an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) PPDU, and a receive power of the PPDU is below an overlapping power detect level. An apparatus of an access point comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry may be configured to encode a PPDU comprising a basic service set identifier of the access point, and encode the PPDU to indicate spatial reuse (SR) delay, SR restricted, or SR not permitted. The processing circuitry may be further configured to configure the access point to transmit the PPDU.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for dynamic resource block identification for power save polling in a high efficiency wireless local-area network are disclosed. A wireless apparatus comprising a memory and processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry is configured to encode a packet comprising a plurality of bits one bit for each association identification (AID) of a plurality of AIDs. A bit is set if the wireless apparatus is to poll a station with a corresponding AID. Each set bit indicates a resource block identification. The processing circuitry is further configured to encode a power save (PS) poll trigger to be transmitted to the stations. The processing circuitry is further configured to decode responses to the PS poll trigger from the stations, where the responses are to be received from the stations in accordance with the corresponding resource block identification.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for deactivating at least one component of an entity of a wireless communication network including a plurality of entities. The communication network is organized into a plurality of communication layers, including a physical layer. The method includes, in the physical layer: a step of receiving a header of a frame of data extracted from a physical signal during reception; a step of decoding the header outputting at least one piece of information showing at least one addressee entity of the frame; a step of deactivating at least one component of the recipient entity of the header when the information representing the addressee entity designates an entity other than the recipient entity.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting data packets in a communication network using a plurality of radio channels. The network is organized into a plurality of communication layers including a data link layer MAC and a physical layer PHY. The method includes aggregating data packets to be transmitted to a single recipient, in the MAC layer, outputting at least two aggregated packets, with which a single header of the PHY layer is associated. At least two of the radio channels are concatenated to form a concatenated channel. The aggregated packets are simultaneously transmitted respectively over at least two separate concatenated sub-channels, one concatenated sub-channel including at least one of the radio channels of the concatenated channel.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for allocating resources in a communication network including at least one access point exchanging data with at least one terminal connected thereto, and managing at least two communication channels. The method in the access point implements a phase of associating and authenticating a terminal with the access point, including a step of associating a unique identifier with the terminal, and a phase of managing the assembly of channels. The phase of managing includes implementing a reference table associating one of the channels to a terminal identified by the unique identifier thereof, including the following steps: detecting a switching of a terminal connected with the access point, from an initial channel to a destination channel; and updating the reference table to associate the unique identifier of the terminal to the destination channel.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced spatial reuse. A device may determine one or more spatial reuse group (SRG) overlapping basic service set packet detect (OBSS_PD) thresholds associated with a spatial reuse group (SRG) OBSS_PD. The device may generate a frame comprising one or more fields to carry information associated with one or more station devices (STAs). The device may include an information element comprising spatial reuse information associated with one or more access categories (ACs). The device may cause to send the frame to the one or more STAs.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to low latency preemption. A device may establish time gaps between consecutive physical layer (PHY) convergence protocol data units (PPDUs) to facilitate preemption opportunity for low latency (LL) transmission. The device may detect a suspend/resource request (SR) transmitted over predefined null tones, wherein the SR is received from a station device (STA). The device may determine if a current transmit opportunity (TXOP) is preemptable and communicate this status through a control frame. The device may set a suspend request (SR) feedback report support subfield within an ultra high reliability (UHR) capabilities element based on a capability to support the SR feedback report.
