Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an ink-jet recording process for forming an image by applying an ink to a recording medium in accordance with an ink-jet recording system, comprising the steps of:(A) applying an ink containing a coloring material to the recording medium in accordance with the ink-jet recording system; and(B) applying a liquid composition different from the ink to an ink-applying region of the recording medium in accordance with the ink-jet recording system, wherein the liquid composition is applied in an amount less than 50% by volume of the amount of the ink to be applied to the ink-applying area.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a liquid discharging method, comprising using a liquid-discharge head equipped with a discharge opening from which a liquid is discharged, a first region to which a first liquid is supplied, a bubble-generating region containing a second liquid and generating bubbles in the second liquid, and a movable member which is displaceable between a first position opposite to the bubble-generating region and a second position within the first region and apart from the bubble-generating region and has a support part more upstream than its free end, in which the movable member is displaced from the first position toward the second position with the generation of a bubble in the bubble-generating region, and the bubble is guided to the discharge opening by the movable member, wherein the first liquid and the second liquid have no compatibility with each other.
Abstract:
Provided is a thermal transfer printer which can stably perform recording using an ink ribbon formed of a base member coated with heat-fusible ink and recording using an ink ribbon formed of a base member coated with heat-sublimated ink without needing any complicated mechanism. The thermal transfer printer has cassette type detecting means for detecting the type of a ribbon cassette, and control means for controlling rotational speeds of a carriage motor and a ribbon reel-up motor in accordance with a detection result of the cassette type detecting means.
Abstract:
A communication management system manages a session in which a plurality of terminal apparatuses shares a stroke image. The communication management system includes circuitry configured to: manage stroke information including a plurality of pieces of stroke data representing the stroke image; receive, from a first terminal apparatus, group operation information for designating one or more pieces of stroke data, which are operation targets, from among the plurality of pieces of stroke data; and restrict, based on the group operation information, an operation regarding the one or more pieces of stroke data by a second terminal apparatus, which is different from the first terminal apparatus.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes circuitry that displays a table on a screen. The circuitry acquires, from a memory, an attribute associated with the table; receives handwritten data input to the table by a user operation; and converts the handwritten data into a character string so as to have an appearance in accordance with the attribute associated with the table.
Abstract:
A communication terminal includes circuitry to: transmit a participation request for requesting participation in a remote conference being conducted between one or more other communication terminals, to a communication management apparatus that manages data being shared between the other communication terminals; receive screen data of a display screen being currently displayed at the other communication terminals from the communication management apparatus, the screen data of the display screen being one of a plurality of items of screen data generated at at least one of the other communication terminals in the remote conference; and control a display to display the display screen based on the screen data that is received.
Abstract:
A communication terminal includes circuitry configured to: start a download of a plurality of stroke data items corresponding to a plurality of stroke images drawn at another communication terminal from a communication management system; receive capture image data obtained by capturing a display screen displayed at the another communication terminal by the another communication terminal, from an image storage device that stores the capture image data; when the download of the plurality of stroke data items is not completed, control a display of the communication terminal to display a capture image corresponding to the received capture image data; and when the download of the plurality of stroke data items is completed, control the display to switch an image to be displayed on the display from the capture image currently being displayed to the plurality of stroke images corresponding to the downloaded plurality of stroke data items.
Abstract:
An ink cartridge including a housing formed with a resin and an ink stored in the housing, wherein the resin includes a white mica composition; the ink includes a salt and a self-dispersible pigment having a functional group that contains two phosphonic acid groups and is bonded to the particle surface thereof; the salt includes a specific cation and a specific anion; and an amount of calcium in the ink after the ink is preserved in the housing at 60° C. for 2 months is 10.0 ppm or less.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of producing a flavor improving agent, comprising heating amino acids or peptides in the presence of amino sugars or a method of improving the flavor of a food or drink with the use of the flavor improving agent. Preferably, the method of improving flavor involves the enhancement of stewed taste of a stewed food or drink. In addition, the present invention relates to a method of producing a stewed food or drink, comprising a step of adding amino sugars to a food or drink material containing amino acids or peptides followed by heat cooking. Examples of amino sugars are glucosamine and galactosamine.
Abstract:
An ink tank containing ink including a pigment component effectively prevents a problem that an ink having a higher concentration and including a sedimentary pigment is led out, even in a case where the ink tank is left unused on a printing apparatus for a long time. To this end, an ink leading-out port placed in an ink containing chamber, and used to supply the ink to a printing head is located higher than a lowermost portion of the ink containing chamber, and is also formed in an inclined surface inclined to a gravitational direction. Thereby, the sedimentary pigment slides the inclined surface, and thus is settled down in a position away from the ink leading-out port.
