Abstract: A leadless neurostimulation device having a header unit including at least one primary electrode having a contact surface that defines an external surface of the leadless neurostimulation device, a housing including a secondary electrode positioned on the same side of the leadless neurostimulation device as the at least one primary electrode, and a anchor device including at least one suture point for securing the leadless neurostimulation device to patient tissue or at least one protrusion nub configured to create mechanical resistance that impedes relative movement between wherein the leadless neurostimulation device and the patient tissue when implanted, where the at least one primary electrode and the secondary electrode are configured to transmit an electrical stimulation signal therebetween to provide electrical stimulation therapy to a target nerve of a patient.

Abstract: Transcatheter aortic valve prostheses for improving the cardiac function of a patient suffering from coronary artery disease. Transcatheter aortic valve prostheses include a valve component and a frame. The valve component includes valve leaflets and a skirt. The frame includes access cells that improve access to a patient's coronary arteries if further intervention is required and/or includes a window or conduction protection cell that is oriented to align with a portion of conduction system of the heart in situ to reduce conduction disturbances of the anatomy. Suture patterns for attaching a commissure to a commissure post of the frame, and for attaching a tissue bumper to the commissure post, are also described.

Abstract: A system includes an implantable medical device that includes an accelerometer sensing circuitry. Responsive to one or more of a first signal from the accelerometer satisfying a first threshold or a first heart rate determined from a first set of cardiac activity data satisfying a first heart rate threshold, processing circuitry of the system determines a first posture state based on the first signal. Responsive to one or more of a second signal satisfying a second threshold or a second heart rate determined from a second set of cardiac activity data satisfying a second heart rate threshold, the processing circuitry determines a second posture state based on the second signal. The processing circuitry determines a heart failure risk based on the first posture state and the second posture state and generates output based at least in part on the heart failure risk.

Abstract: The present application relates to an occlusion device for occluding a left atrial appendage. The device has a stem with an elongate tubular body and a central lumen that extends from a proximal end to a distal end with a proximal portion arranged at the proximal end of the stem, The proximal portion is arranged to engage with an opening of the left atrial appendage. The device includes an expandable member arranged at the distal end of the stem. The central lumen of the stem is in fluid communication with the expandable member and the expandable member is arranged to be positioned inside a left atrial appendage. The expandable member is operable to at least partially expand and displace the proximal portion in a direction towards the expandable member.

Abstract: Techniques for switching an implantable medical device (IMD) from a first mode to a second mode in relation to signals obtained from internal sensors are described. The internal sensors may include a temperature sensor and a biosensor. In some examples, processing circuitry of the IMD may make a first preliminary determination that the IMD is implanted based on a first signal from the temperature sensor. In response to the first preliminary determination being that the IMD is implanted, the processing circuitry may make a second preliminary determination that the IMD is implanted based on a second signal from the biosensor. The processing circuitry may switch the IMD from a first mode to a second mode based on both the first preliminary determination and the second preliminary determination being that the IMD is implanted.

Abstract: An implantable medical device, such as a sensor for monitoring a selected internally detectable physiological parameter of a patient, is attached to a fixation assembly that is deployable within the patient to position and orient the sensor to enable it to perform its function. The fixation assembly is formed having at least one flexible asymmetric connector where each fixation member includes a plurality of loops, wherein a first loop of the plurality of loops has a maximum pitch that is different from a maximum pitch of a second loop of the plurality of loops. The attachment of the housing and the fixation assembly includes providing a tubular member that is welded to the housing and crimped over a section of the fixation assembly.
