Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a method of generating a packet identifier table that comprises reading a packet identifier value from a received transport stream packet, identifying a type of data contained in the received transport stream packet, and generating a table with mapping information between the packet identifier value and the identified type of data.
Abstract:
A signal conversion apparatus is provided. A video input interface receives a video signal encoded in a first format from a host device. An audio input interface receives an audio signal encoded in a second format from the host device. A conversion unit is coupled to the video input interface and the audio input interface, receives the video signal and the audio signal therefrom, and converts the video signal and the audio signal into an output signal encoded in a predetermined format. An output interface receives the output signal and transmits the output signal to the display device.
Abstract:
A method for receiving a station signal is provided. First, a radio frequency signal is received and converted to a first IF signal. Next, the first IF signal is demodulated to a demodulation signal and a first parameter is obtained within, the first parameter being a DC level of the demodulation signal. Then a determination as to whether the demodulation signal has an S-curve characteristic is made according to the first parameter. If so, the scanning frequency is determined as a first station frequency, a first station signal is located from the radio frequency signal according to the first station frequency and is received.
Abstract:
A method of displaying characters is adapted to a displaying device. First, the displaying device receives and analyzes a frame to obtain subtitle data including a first character. Then, the subtitle data is analyzed to obtain at least one first location of the first character on the frame. Finally, the first character is displayed at the at least one first location in a first time period.
Abstract:
A home caring system which combines the internet, a real-time communication and a videophone utilizes a wireless transceiver module, wireless telephone handsets, computer-related equipment, external equipment, and a radio communication module to set up a wireless network system at home for transmitting voices and images to the computer-related equipment. In addition, the computer-related equipment is installed with a real-time communication system, in order to look after children and seniors at home and to serve as a surveillance system such that home caring and working on a job can be taken care of at the same time.
Abstract:
A method of simulating two-way communications over a one-way communications system, enabling an indicator on the transmitter to reflect the manner in which signals from a function key on the transmitter side will be interpreted by an application on the receiver side of the communications system, is carried out by causing a list of current states of the function on the receiver side of the communications system rather than transmitting a signal concerning the current state of the list to the transmitter side. The transmitter side of the communication system is part of a wireless keyboard that does not include a receiver to properly indicate which of two possible states a function of the computer will be in even though the computer has no way of communicating that state to the receiver.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an optical sensing system which uses a plurality of positioning holes to identify the positions of corresponding encoding holes so that an encoding signal can be accurately generated according to each detected positioning hole and all the corresponding encoding holes. The optical sensing system comprises an optical panel having a plurality of encoding holes and positioning holes, a sensing device for detecting movements of the optical panel related to the sensing device, and a control circuit connected to the sensing device. The sensing device comprises a light source for emitting light to the optical panel, a first light detector for detecting the light transmitted through the positioning holes and a second light detector for detecting the light transmitted through the encoding holes. The control circuit converts an output of the second light detector into an encoding signal when one of the positioning holes is detected by the first light detector. The relative positions of the positioning holes and the encoding holes over the optical panel are arranged according to the positions of the first and second light detectors so that for each of the positioning holes detected by the first light detector, all the corresponding encoding holes of the detected positioning hole are clearly detected in the same time by the second light detector.

Abstract:
A mobile terminal includes a resistive touch panel, a gravity sensing module, an obtaining module, a calculating module, and a value displaying module. The gravity sensing module is used to detect a gravity direction of an object and calculate an angle between the resistive touch panel and the gravity direction. The obtaining module obtains a touch resistance when the object is placed on the resistive touch panel. The calculating module calculates a weight of the object according to the touch resistance and the angle. The value display module displays the weight on the resistive touch panel.
Abstract:
A 2D-to-3D color compensation method for compensating color processing in a display device is disclosed. The display device is coupled with a 2D-to-3D conversion box. The method includes the following steps: firstly, the 2D-to-3D conversion box sends out a combined calibration pattern to the display device. Then, the display device performs image processing for the combined calibration pattern. Subsequently, detect a difference value between the combined calibration pattern processed by the display device and the original combined calibration pattern. Finally, adjust the combined calibration pattern according to the difference value.
