Abstract:
A simulated wood decorative panel is provided with a continuous simulated wood molding around the marginal edge thereof. The molding comprises a plurality elongated relatively straight vinyl strips having a cross section that simulates the wood door frames used on early ''''station wagons.'''' An annular blank having a cross section similar to the elongated strips is cut into sections to provide arcuate corners between adjacent trim strips.
Abstract:
A reglet joining clip for particular use with a panel glazing system whrein a plurality of reglets are employed to define a glass retaining frame extending around a wall opening. Each clip includes a base dimensioned to closely embrace a portion of the bottom walls of adjacent channel areas and upwardly extending leg members extending substantially coextensive with the support area edges to resiliently engage the side walls of the adjacent channel areas. The clips, each relatively short in length, are formed in a continuous strand with the interconnecting portions being either bendable or frangible. One clip is used for joining adjacent longitudinally disposed reglets and two, interconnected, clips are used for joining adjacent reglets which form a frame corner.
Abstract:
An improved, reinforcing ferrule for the crossbars of an endless flexible track or belt used for driving snowmobiles or like apparatus. The ends of the ferrule are flared at the longitudinal ends thereof in the horizontal plane of the track.
Abstract:
Means are provided for preventing panel roll out in panel mounting systems for building wall openings or the like wherein elastomeric gasket members, including panel receiving channels therein are mounted about the openings for sealingly receiving construction panels. The gasket members include resilient portions defining the receiving channels which deflect out of the desired panel receiving position when the panels themselves are subjected to high lateral forces. The roll out prevention means comprises a plurality of rigid bracket members spaced along and affixed so as to closely embrace a portion of the outside of the gaskets in order to retain the resilient positions in the desired panel sealing condition. Elongated bolts or other suitable fasteners are used to retain the brackets in position on the gaskets and may also aid in retaining the gaskets themselves in position relative to the openings.
Abstract:
A system of standardized extrusions which may be utilized in framing systems for enclosing a wide variety of store front openings as well as other types of building wall openings. Each of the basic framing elements includes either a special gasket receiving flange or a spline receiving channel for cooperation with elastomeric panel mounting gaskets in sealing by retaining thin rigid construction panels in a desired mounted position. The system includes frame member elements for forming the framing system sills and jambs, divider elements for forming horizontal or vertical mullion structural members and adaptor clips for permitting various sizes of gaskets and glass panel combinations to be used with the system without the necessity for altering the dimension of the framing elements or the panel receiving flanges.
Abstract:
A waste disposal system includes three interconnected tanks. Waste material is subjected to anaerobic bacterial action in a first tank and then transferred to a second tank. The waste material is subjected to aerobic bacterial action in the second tank and is then transferred to the third tank. The waste material may be subjected to action of a treating agent in the third tank.
Abstract:
A combined exhaust manifold and boiler unit for employing the hot exhaust gases from an engine to vaporize liquids such as the effluent from a septic tank with secondary heating coils available for vaporizing the liquid when the engine is not running. The unit either may be an integral or split housing of aluminum construction which maximizes heat transfer and minimizes manufacturing costs.
