摘要: A seal structure is applied to a vehicle including a vehicle body that includes a roof opening, and a movable panel and a fixed panel that close the roof opening. The seal structure includes a flange extending along an opening edge of the roof opening, and a weather strip that includes a holding groove into which the flange is inserted, and blocks a gap generated between the vehicle body, and the movable panel and the fixed panel. A tip of the flange includes a plurality of notches with respect to an extending direction of the flange. The weather strip includes an inner wall and an outer wall facing each other across the holding groove, and a connection wall that connects the inner wall and the outer wall in a position corresponding to the notch.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments include seals, vehicles, and methods for providing a seal for a door that is configured to travel laterally relative to a door opening. In an illustrative embodiment, a seal assembly includes first and second upper and lower lateral seals configured to seal outer and inner surfaces of the upper and lower edges of the door, respectively, as the door laterally moved into a closed position. The seal includes first and second front and rear transverse seals configured to seal the outer and the inner surfaces of the front and rear edges of the door, respectively, in response to the door laterally moving into the closed position.

摘要: A sealing and/or guiding seal for a motor-vehicle window or other movable part of a motor-vehicle, includes at least one body formed of polymeric elastomeric material supplemented with carbon-based nanofillers. The body includes an outer surface with one or more piezo-resistive areas where the polymeric material supplemented with carbon-based nanofillers has been made locally piezo-resistive by laser irradiation. One or more electric deformation sensors are defined so as to detect an interference with an unrelated body during the movement of the movable part of the motor-vehicle. The body also includes one or more conductive paths where the polymeric material supplemented with carbon-based nanofillers has been made locally electrically-conductive by means of laser irradiation, so as to define one or more electrical connection lines of the piezo-resistive areas with electrodes associated with the seal.

摘要: A soft panel top assembly for a vehicle in sealing engagement with a hard top portion of a roof. The soft panel top assembly has a fixed portion attached to the vehicle and a lightweight pivotal portion that folds back to provide the occupant a quick and easy open air effect. Two door rails of the soft panel top assembly are connected to the vehicle. Two side rail linkage assemblies are attached to header, which is secured to a windshield frame when in a closed position, and are connected at pivot points created with a bracket attached to the door rails to allow the pivotal portion to pivot to an open position. The soft panel top assembly includes a rear header that is lightweight and engages with the existing seal of the hard top roof portion to provide a weatherproof seal.

摘要: An opening trim weatherstrip includes an attaching base portion that is attached to a flange formed on a vehicle body opening peripheral edge and a hollow seal portion that is provided integrally on the attaching base portion and is abutted to an outer periphery of a door frame or a door panel of a vehicle door to seal a gap between the vehicle door and the vehicle body opening peripheral edge. The hollow seal portion includes a proximal hollow portion and a distal hollow portion. The distal hollow portion includes a first distal hollow seal wall and a second distal hollow seal wall. The first distal hollow seal wall is formed in a curved surface with a curvature radius of 20 to 80 mm.

摘要: Methods for varying seal force in active seal assemblies for doors employ active materials that can be controlled and remotely changed to alter the seal effectiveness, wherein the active materials actively change modulus properties such as stiffness, or a combination of modulus and shape in response to an activation signal. In this manner, in seal applications such as a vehicle door application, door opening and closing efforts can be minimized yet seal effectiveness can be maximized.
