    摘要: A method for seamless inter-frequency hard handover in a radio communication system is disclosed. The method for seamless inter-frequency hard handover includes the steps of: a) at a mobile station, blocking a first uplink carrier frequency used for communication, transmitting a direct sequence spread preamble signal through a second uplink carrier frequency for a short time, and continuously performing the communication through the first uplink carrier frequency; and b) at a target base transceiver station, acquiring an uplink synchronization of a mobile station based on the preamble before performing handover.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for efficiently measuring a carrier to noise and interference ratio (CNIR) in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) mobile communication system and a CNIR method thereof. The mobile terminal includes a frequency offset and frame detector for detecting frame timing information and frequency offset from a received signal, a demodulator for demodulating the received signal by using the detected frame timing information and frequency offset, a subchannel separator for separating a data symbol from symbols outputted by the demodulator, a channel estimating and equalizing unit for estimating and equalizing a channel for the corresponding subchannel from the data symbol, and a CNIR measuring unit for transmitting a measured current CNIR to the base station.

    摘要: Provided are a cell search method, a forward link frame transmission method, an apparatus using the methods, and a forward link frame structure. The cell search apparatus includes a sync acquirer acquiring synchronization of sync channel symbols using a sync channel of a forward link, and a group detector detecting at least one hopping codeword element belonging to a hopping codeword of a target cell from a forward link signal containing sync channel symbols sequence-hopped using a hopping codeword corresponding to a code group to which a scrambling code of each cell belongs based on the acquired synchronization, and detecting a code group of the target cell based on the detected hopping codeword element, wherein the hopping codewords are orthogonal to a cyclic shift operation. Accordingly, a cell search time and the complexity of the cell search can be reduced.
