The automatic focus controlling apparatus includes a pickup assembly for reading recorded data from a disc; and RF signal converter for converting the output signal read by the pickup assembly into an RF signal; a signal separator for separating a signal corresponding to a 3T component from the RF signal; a phase comparator for comparing the separated 3T signal with a predetermined frequency to provide a phase difference value; and a controller for controlling a focusing operation of an objective lens based on the phase difference value to provide a focus control signal.

    摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) includes first and second substrates provided in opposition to one another, address electrodes formed on the first substrate, barrier ribs mounted between the first and second substrates so as to define a plurality of discharge cells, phosphor layers formed in the discharge cells, first and second electrodes formed on the second substrate, and third electrodes mounted between the first and second electrodes at positions corresponding to the discharge cells. The first and second electrodes are positioned further from the second substrate than the third electrodes, and a spacing is provided between the first and second electrodes. A method for driving the PDP includes (a) applying a reset waveform to the third electrodes during a reset interval, (b) applying a scan pulse to the third electrodes during an address interval, and (c) applying a sustain discharge voltage alternately to the first and second electrodes during a sustain discharge interval.

The plasma display panel include first and second substrates facing each other with a predetermined gap in between. First and second address electrodes are located between the substrates and extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The address electrodes correspond to boundaries of the discharge cells located adjacent in the first direction and have protruding portions alternately protruding inside their respective discharge cells.

The first electrode and the second electrode are electrically isolated from the address electrode and corresponding to the discharge cell to face each other with a space therebetween. A shape of the first electrode is substantially different from a shape of the second electrode.
