Abstract: A device, system, and method performs a Voice over Long Term Evolution (LTE) (VoLTE) call setup procedure. The device includes a transceiver establishing a connection with a LTE network and an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The device includes a processor executing a VoLTE call application with a further user equipment, receiving an input to execute the VoLTE call application, and generating a data packet including an indication to trigger a dedicated bearer establishment procedure. The transceiver transmits the data packet to one of the LTE network and the IMS. The indication triggers the dedicated bearer establishment procedure to be performed during a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signal exchange procedure.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for multi-RAT and DSDA capable wireless devices to handle frame blanking in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish wireless links according to a first radio access technology and a second radio access technology. The wireless device may determine to perform transmit and receive blanking for one or more antennas of the wireless device for the first radio access technology to perform sounding reference signal transmissions for the second radio access technology based at least in part on a band combination for the wireless links. The wireless device may determine a modification to channel state feedback reporting for the first radio access technology based at least in part on the transmit and receive blanking. The wireless device may perform channel state feedback reporting using the determined modification.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhanced power control at a user equipment (UE) under poor channel conditions respective to antenna transmit diversity (ATD) mechanisms are discussed herein. In some embodiments, a UE may reset a transmit power control (TPC) power adjustment value when an ATD antenna switch of the ATD mechanism is performed. In some embodiments, a UE may reduce the value of an ATD hysteresis timer upon determining that a reference signal receive power (RSRP) change on a monitored reference signal that drives a pathloss calculation at the UE exceeds a threshold. In some embodiments, a UE may scale a filtering coefficient of a pathloss calculation mechanism upon determining that an RSRP change on a monitored reference signal that drives a pathloss calculation at the UE exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: A mobile device collects received information and processes it. In some instances, the mobile device detects, based on the collected information, that a base station is likely not legitimate, i.e., it is likely a fake base station, and the mobile device bars communication with the base station for a time. In some embodiments, the mobile device determines, based on the received information, that the base station is a genuine base station. When the mobile device determines that the base station is a genuine base station or the mobile device does not determine that it is likely the base station is a fake base station, the mobile device allows or continues communication with the base station.
