摘要： Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate dynamic address assignment for various client types. A multimedia device may attempt to assign an IP address to a client device according to a received DHCP discovery message. In the event a DHCP discovery message is not received, the multimedia device may attempt DHCP assignment using an associated DHCP server. If no DHCP server is available, the multimedia device may recognize any multiple interface routing conflicts for a link-local range. If multiple interfaces exist within the link-local range, then the multimedia device may initiate a manual IP configuration of the client device. If no multiple interface routing conflicts exist, the multimedia device may configure a standard link-local DLNA network for streaming content to the client device.

摘要： A device is provided for use with a wireless local area network communication device and with a video display. The device includes a receiver, an image decoder, an emergency alert system (EAS) decoder, an output port, a warning generator and a LAN transceiver. The receiver receives input data including image data and EAS data. The image decoder decodes the image data into image display data. The EAS decoder decodes the EAS data into emergency alert data. The output port outputs the image display data to the video display to display a video image. The warning generator generates a warning signal based on the emergency alert data. 摘要： Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate the generation and utilization of a profile based channel lineup. A multimedia device delivering video services to one or more users may monitor channel and content requests received by the individual one or more users, and the multimedia device may create a profile for each of the users, wherein the profile includes a channel list of only those channels that are frequently tuned to by the respective user. The multimedia device may create an association between a user, a frequently viewed channel, and a time at which the channel is typically viewed by the user. A profile based viewing session or feature may be enabled at the multimedia device, wherein tuning decisions, channel change responses, and program information displays are controlled by the multimedia device based on a profile associated with a selected user.

摘要： An electronic device included in a network enhances the configuring of other electronic devices in the network. The electronic device includes a network interface, a non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor is configured to execute the instructions to transmit a first set of configuration data to another electronic device in the network, receive a message that the other electronic device was successfully configured using the first set of configuration data, and in response to the message transmit one or more next sets of configuration data to the other electronic device. 摘要： An electronic apparatus, method, and computer-readable medium implement a dynamic channel selection function at an access point device so as to establish a backhaul connection between the access point device and an extender access point device. Once initiated either by the access point device or an application, the dynamic channel selection function iterates or loops through channels based on one or more factors to select a channel for establishment of the backhaul connection. The dynamic channel selection function provides ease of installation of configuration of devices on a network without requiring relocation of the device to establish the backhaul connection.

In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a repositioning request for a particular position in the HLS or DASH media stream. The particular position does not have an Instantaneous Decoder Refresh (IDR) frame. The method additionally includes transcoding a new segment of the HLS or DASH media stream such that an IDR frame coincides with the particular position. The method further includes delivering the transcoded segment in response to the repositioning request.

摘要： An apparatus, system, method, and computer-readable recording medium monitor and detect connection issues in a wireless network. The wireless network communicatively interconnects a gateway device including a network controller, wireless extenders, and client devices. The gateway device receives probe requests from the client devices and the wireless extenders, and the network controller periodically monitors at least one of: i) frame parameters or ii) signal strength information based on the probe requests, and identifies a connection issue with respect to at least one of the wireless extenders. 摘要： A content streaming apparatus, method, and computer readable media steer a client device to from one wireless access point to another based on usage history of the client device. A controller is configured to establish a wireless streaming session between one or more access points and one or more client devices. An initial profile category is assigned by one or more access point to the client device based on one or more profile categories. A self-learning algorithm is executed to collect usage data of the client device and store the usage to create a usage history profile for the client device. The controller provides instruction to steer the client device to one of the access points based on the usage history profile of the client. Preferably, the content streaming apparatus is a home network controller. From the software/client end a steering app is downloadable to the client device for executing software associated with the self-learning algorithm.
