    摘要: This invention provides a fungicide composition which is capable of in situ generation of ammonium bicarbonate when applied to plant foliage in the form of an aqueous dispersion. The constituents include (1) an ingredient such as urea which slow-releases ammonia under aqueous alkaline pH conditions; and (2) an alkali metal bicarbonate ingredient which imparts alkalinity to the aqueous dispersion, and provides bicarbonate ions for combination with the released ammonium ions. A spreader-sticker ingredient is included to maintain the ingredients in contact with plant foliage over an extended period after application.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for controlling fungal disease in plants with a fungicidal fertilizer composition which contains ingredients which are biocompatible for purposes of agricultural applications, and which are harmless to animals and humans. Illustrative of an invention composition is an aqueous solution which has a content of two alkali metal bicarbonate salts, an alkali metal fatty acid salt, and a water-soluble thickener such as xanthan gum. The combination of fatty acid salt and thickener functions as an effective spreader-sticker medium.

    摘要: The aqueous effluent from the wash cycle of a process for cleaning electronic circuit assemblies of rosin flux and other organic residues with an aqueous alkaline cleaning solution comprises treating the effluent with an alkaline earth metal compound which reacts with the rosin flux to cause precipitation of an alkaline earth metal rosinate. Alkali saponifiers such as alkali metal carbonates and bicarbonates and carboxylate organic adjuvants in the cleaning solution are also removed from the effluent by reaction with the alkaline earth metal compound to form water insoluble alkaline earth salts which are precipitated from solution.

    摘要: Dentifrices, including toothpastes or dental creams, gels and tooth powders, incorporating alkali metal pyrophosphate salts and sodium bicarbonate in amounts effective to inhibit calculus formation on teeth. The sodium bicarbonate improves the calculus inhibiting properties of the pyrophosphate salts, permits the use of smaller quantities of pyrophosphate than required in the absence of the bicarbonate adjuvant, allows the formulation of pyrophosphate containing dentifrices without the need to use unpleasant tasting potassium pyrophosphates to prevent grittiness, and salts-out the pyrophosphate as undissolved tetrasodium pyrophosphate decahydrate in the form of relatively small particles which do not impart a gritty mouth feel upon use of the dentifrice.

C. and relative humidities of from 40% to 75%. High conversions of the potassium carbonate, carbon dioxide and water vapor reactants are achieved, with the formation of a substantially dry bicarbonate product which may be further processed without additional drying or handling expense.
