Provided are an RFID operating system and an RFID system operating method for allowing multiple RFID readers to read tags without collision. The RFID system operating method includes the steps of grouping RFID readers spaced apart by more than a spacing distance capable of avoiding collision between RFID readers into a single group to determine at least one group, classifying RPM readers included in each group into at least one sub-group based on a read time of each RFID reader, and driving the RFID readers such that RPM readers belonging to at least two different sub-groups that do not collide with each other simultaneously operate. According to the present invention, switching is performed sub-group by sub-group to reduce the number of switching operations and sub-groups can simultaneously operate to decrease a read time.

There is herein disclosed an interdigital capacitor, an inductor, and an LH transmission line and a coupler using the interdigital capacitor and the inductor. The interdigital capacitor comprises two finger sets which are substantially disposed in parallel with each other. Fingers of each finger set are overlapped at outer edges thereof with each other to thereby generate capacitance. The inductor is formed substantially spirally inside the transmission line, so that it can have a large inductance in a compact shape and can be used in a broad frequency band. The LH transmission line has a broad frequency band in a compact shape, which includes interdigital capacitors connected in series with each other and inductors connected in parallel with each other. In addition, the coupler employing the LH transmission line has an excellent couplability.

Disclosed herein is a direct feeding type patch antenna. The direct feeding type patch antenna according to the present invention comprises: a feed element 110 having direct feeding points 118 formed radially in opposite perpendicular directions to one another from a feeding central portion 120; four direct feeding cylindrical pillars 130 electrically connected at one ends thereof to the direct feeding points 118; and a radiation patch 140 disposed opposite to the feed element 110 and electrically connected to the other ends of the direct feeding cylindrical pillars 130, for allowing an electrical signal to be directly fed thereto. The direct feeding type patch antenna further comprises a coupler made of a ceramic material. According to the present invention, it is possible to implement a patch antenna which has a high gain and an improved axial ratio bandwidth, and is small-sized.

The invention relates to the size reduction of an antenna using a magneto-dielectric material for a CRLH-TL (Composite Right/Left Handed Transmission Line) antenna. In particular, the invention provides a small and low profile metamaterial antenna attained by performing SRR (Split Ring Resonator) magnetization on a dielectric material and applying the magneto-dielectric material to the CRLH-TL antenna that is composed of patches and vias. Even further, the invention provides a metamaterial antenna using a magneto-dielectric material, the antenna comprising: a substrate which is made up of a magneto-dielectric material and which has an SRR structure inserted thereto; patches with a CRLH-TL structure formed at a predetermined distance above the substrate; and a ground plane formed at a predetermined distance below the substrate.
