    Abstract: This invention provides a method for stably producing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene for a long period of time while suppressing catalyst deactivation. This invention provides a method for producing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, the method comprising: (d) reacting 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of a catalyst; (e) subjecting the reaction mixture obtained in step (d) to distillation to separate the mixture into a first stream comprising 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene as a main component and a second stream comprising unreacted hydrogen fluoride and organic matter containing unreacted 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene as main components; and (f) recycling the second stream separated in step (e) above to the reaction of step (d), wherein the distillation of step (e) is performed under conditions that satisfy the relationship of a specific equation.

    Abstract: This invention provides a method for producing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene or 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane, which is a precursor of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, in two or three reaction steps, using at least one chlorine-containing compound selected from the group consisting of 1,1,1,2,3-pentachloropropane, 2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane, and 1,1,2,3-tetrachloropropene as a starting material, the reaction products of at least two of the steps being supplied to the same distillation apparatus to subject the products to a separation operation simultaneously. With this method, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene or 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane, which is a precursor of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, can be efficiently produced with reduced energy and equipment costs in an economically advantageous manner.

    Abstract: Provided are a method for producing a fluoroethane, which is the desired product, with high selectivity; and a method for producing a fluoroolefin. The production method according to the present disclosure comprises obtaining a product comprising a fluoroethane represented by CX1X2FCX3X4X5 (wherein X1, X2, X3, X4, and X5 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, or a chlorine atom; and at least one of X1, X2, X3, X4, and X5 represents a hydrogen atom) from a fluoroethylene by a reaction in the presence of at least one catalyst in at least one reactor.
