Embodiments of polyethylene compositions and articles comprising polyethylene compositions are disclosed. The polyethylene compositions may include a first polyethylene fraction area defined by an area in the elution profile in a temperature range of 70° C. to 97° C. via improved comonomer composition distribution (iCCD) analysis method; a first peak in the temperature range of 70° C. to 97° C. in the elution profile; a second polyethylene fraction area defined by an area in the elution profile in a temperature range of 97° C. to 110° C.; and a second peak in the temperature range of 97° C. to 110° C. The polyethylene composition may have a density of 0.935 g/cm3 to 0.955 g/cm3 and a melt index (I2) of 1.0 g/10 minutes to 10.0 g/10 minutes. A ratio of the first polyethylene fraction area to the second polyethylene fraction area may be less than 2.0.

The invention provides a composition comprising the following components: A) a first composition, wherein the first composition comprises a first ethylene-based polymer and a second ethylene-based polymer, and wherein the ratio of the “high load melt index (I21) of the first composition” to the “high load melt index (I21) of the first ethylene-based polymer” is greater than, or equal to, 40, and B) one or more azide compounds present in an amount greater than, or equal to, 50 ppm, based on the weight of the first composition.

The present disclosure provides formulation. The formulation contains a high density polyethylene composition containing (i) a high molecular weight component including an ethylene/a-olefin copolymer, the high molecular weight component having a density from 0.924 to 0.930 g/cc and a high load melt index (121) from 0.3 to 0.9 g/10 min; and (ii) a low molecular weight component including an ethylene-based polymer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene homopolymer and an ethylene/a-olefin copolymer. The high density polyethylene composition has (a) a density from 0.950 to 0.956 g/cc; (b) a high load melt index (121) from 15 to 28 g/10 min; (c) an 121/12 of at least 85; (d) a notched constant tensile load failure time at 35% yield stress of greater than 90 hours; and (e) an environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) F0 value, according to ASTM D1693—condition B (100% IGEPAL), of greater than 2,000 hours.

A polyethylene composition suitable for use in a living hinge component, the composition comprising a first ethylene-based polymer component, the first ethylene-based polymer component has a density of from 0.91.5 g/cc to less than 0.940 g/cc. and a melt index, I2.16, of less than 5 g/10 min. and a second ethylene-based polymer component, wherein the composition has an overall density of from 0.945 g/cc to 0.960 g/cc and an overall melt index, I2.16, of from 5 g/10 min to 20 g/10 min.

The instant invention is a high-density polyethylene composition, method of producing the same, articles made therefrom, and method of making such articles. The high-density polyethylene composition of the instant invention includes a first component, and a second component. The first component is a high molecular weight ethylene alpha-olefin copolymer having a density in the range of 0.915 to 0.940 g/cm3, and a melt index (I21.6) in the range of 0.5 to 10 g/10 minutes. The second component is a low molecular weight ethylene polymer having a density in the range of 0.965 to 0.980 g/cm3, and a melt index (I2) in the range of 50 to 1500 g/10 minutes. The high-density polyethylene composition has a melt index (I2) of at least 1, a density in the range of 0.950 to 0.960 g/cm3, and g′ of 1.

The invention is related to compositions suitable for the fabrication of pipes, and other articles, with excellent performance properties. The invention provides a composition, comprising a blend, wherein said blend comprises a high molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer and a low molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer, and the high molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer is a heterogeneously branched linear or a homogeneously branched linear ethylene-based interpolymer, and has a density from 0.922 g/cc to 0.929 g/cc, and a high load melt index (I21) from 0.2 g/10 min to 1.0 g/10 min, and the low molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer is heterogeneously branched linear or a homogeneously branched linear ethylene-based interpolymer, and has a density from 0.940 g/cc to 0.955 g/cc, and a melt index (I2) from 6 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min. The blend has a single peak in an ATREF profile eluting above 30° C., and has a coefficient of viscosity average molecular weight (CMv) less than −0.0032 in the log(calculated Mv) versus elution temperature, said CMv calculated in the range of elution temperatures from 70° C. to 90° C. The Mv is the viscosity average molecular weight.
