Abstract:
The present invention relates to topical compositions comprising a polysiloxane-based UV filter, hydroxyacetophenone and panthenol, as well as their use in sunscreens.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to topical compositions comprising 10-hydroxystearic acid or a salt thereof in combination with 12-hydroxystearic acid or a salt thereof. The present invention also relates to a method to retard or inhibit the recrystallisation of 10-hydroxystearic acid or a salt thereof in a topical composition, said method comprising formulating 10-hydroxystearic acid or a salt thereof in the presence of 12-hydroxystearic acid or a salt thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to topical compositions in the form of an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion comprising an oil phase dispersed in an aqueous phase in the presence of a sucrose fatty ester surfactant, characterized in that the topical composition further comprises a phosphate ester co-surfactant. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a phosphate ester surfactant to reduce the viscosity of a topical composition in the form of an O/W emulsion comprising an oil phase dispersed in an aqueous phase in the presence of a sucrose fatty ester surfactant.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a topical composition comprising a hydrophilic benzimidazole type UVB filter, an organopolysiloxane functionalized with at least one UV-light absorbing group, and highly porous silica and/or highly porous crosslinked polymethylmethacrylate beads having a particle size Dv0 of greater 0.3 μm, a Dv 100 of less than 35 μm, a Dv50 selected in the range of 9 to 15 μm and an oil absorption capacity selected in the range of 1.2-2.5 cc/g. Furthermore the invention relates to the use of such beads to ameliorate the short and long-term sensory properties of a topical composition comprising a hydrophilic benzimidazole type UVB filter and an organopolysiloxane functionalized with at least one UV-light absorbing group.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cosmetic composition comprising the UV-filter Ensulizole, an ester of a fatty acid and dextrin and a mixture of branched and linear saturated C15-C19, wherein said mixture comprised primarily branched saturated C15-C19. This cosmetic composition shows an increased water resistance of the sun protecting factor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel compositions comprising a retinoid mixture of cis and trans isomers of a retinyl ester, particularly retinyl acetate, with a cis/trans ratio of less than 0.03 as well as the use thereof for the treatment, prevention and lessening of the symptoms of diseases and conditions which can be treated with 5-HT2B serotonin receptor antagonists, including but not limited to diseases or conditions selected from migraine headaches, anxiety, ocular hypotension, heart valve disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and MDMA (commonly called “ecstasy”) abuse.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cosmetic composition comprising an ester of a fatty acid and dextrin, a mixture of branched and linear saturated C15-C19, wherein said mixture comprised primarily branched saturated C15-C19, and a UV-filter of the formula (I). This cosmetic composition allows a high amount of the UV-filter of the formula (I) to be solubilized which leads to compositions having a very high absorbance of harmful UV light, i.e. to compositions having a high Sun Protection Factor (SPF).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cosmetic composition comprising the UV-filter Bisoctrizole, a C8-C16 alkyl poly-glucoside, a mixture of branched and linear saturated C15-C19, wherein said mixture comprised primarily branched saturated C15-C19, and an specific dialkyl ether or (di)ester. This cosmetic composition shows a reduced stickiness, particular a reduced adherence of sand onto the skin to which a composition comprising the UV-Filter Bisoctrizole and C8-C16 alkyl poly-glucoside has been applied. This reduction of stickiness is essential to formulate cosmetic compositions having a high sun protection factor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cosmetic skin care compositions which comprise a hyperbranched copolymer of the monomers dodecenyl succinic acid anhydride, diisopropanol amine and bis-dimethylaminopropyl amine having quaternary terminal groups and at least one non-ionic emulsifier being an ether or an ester of (poly)ethylene glycol.
