    摘要: A dose setting mechanism comprising a dose setting member and a drive member for driving a piston rod in a distal direction during dose dispensing. The drive member comprises a proximal drive member and a distal drive member. A first clutch releasably coupling the proximal drive member and the distal drive member. A spring means biases the proximal drive member and the distal drive member in the coupled state during dose setting and dose dispensing. Engaging means are provided associated to the proximal drive member and to the dose setting member, wherein the engaging means are designed and arranged such that the proximal drive member entrains the dose setting member in the distal direction during dose setting but allows a relative axial movement of the proximal drive member with respect to the dose setting member in the proximal direction.

    摘要: A lead screw, a lead screw nut and a drive member are aligned with an axis defining an axial direction and an opposite axial direction. A coupling between the lead screw and the lead screw nut allows a helical movement of the lead screw with respect to the lead screw nut at least in the axial direction. The lead screw is coupled with the drive member, the coupling generating a helical movement of the lead screw with respect to the drive member when the drive member is moved in the axial direction with respect to the lead screw. A dispense stop feature of the lead screw nut and a dispense stop feature of the drive member prevent the generation of the helical movement of the lead screw when a specified end position of the drive member is approached.

    摘要: A lead screw, a lead screw nut and a drive member are aligned with an axis. A coupling between the lead screw and the lead screw nut allows a helical movement of the lead screw. The drive member is rotationally locked with the lead screw nut. The lead screw is coupled with the drive member to generate a helical movement of the lead screw when the drive member is moved in one axial direction. The coupling is overridden when the drive member is moved in the opposite axial direction. Spline features are arranged on the lead screw in a row parallel to the axis with alternatingly small and large gaps between succeeding spline features. A stop feature of the drive member has a dimension in the direction of the axis which is larger than the small gaps and at most as large as the large gaps.

    摘要: An apparatus for crushing containers includes a die defining an opening, a punch, and a system for displacing the die and punch relative to each other. The punch may be fixed and the die may be moved from a first position spaced apart from the punch such that a container to be crushed can be placed between the punch and die and a second position in which the punch extends into the die opening to define an annular gap between the punch and die opening. The arrangement is such that a container crushed between the die and punch as a result of displacement of the die to the second position is at least in part forced into and deformed within the annular gap.

    摘要: A method and system for biasing a cartridge in a drug delivery device. An element for biasing a cartridge in a cartridge housing of a drug delivery device is provided. This non-plastic element does not comprise a coil spring. A self retained element for providing a spring bias to a cartridge in a cartridge holder of a drug delivery device comprises a first member having a shape that allows passage of a spindle of the drug delivery device. A portion of the first member is self retained by an internal surface of the drug delivery device. The self retained element biases the cartridge against an inner surface of the cartridge holder. This cartridge could be a removable cartridge.
