Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for the removal of sulphur compounds from a hydrocarbon stream, especially a gaseous hydrocarbon gas stream, which process comprises contacting said gas stream with an adsorbent comprising at least a zeolite having a pore diameter of at least 5 Å to adsorb the sulphur compounds thereon, the adsorption procedure followed by a regeneration procedure of used, loaded adsorbent by contacting the said loaded adsorbent with a regeneration gas stream having a relative water humidity between 1-100% for certain steps of the regeneration and a water content of below 5 ppmV for other steps thus to replace the adsorbed sulphur compounds by water. Suitably the regeneration is followed by a dry regeneration treatment to finalize the regeneration. The process of the invention allows to send the sulphur compounds containing regeneration gas without further treatment of e.g. physical/chemical absorption for sulphur components concentration to an appropriate treatment for sulphur removal such as e.g. a Claus unit.
Abstract:
The raw natural gas is deacidized and dehydrated in units DA and DH. The treated gas is then purified by adsorption of the mercaptans in first enclosure A1. Part of the purified gas is heated in E1, then fed into second enclosure A2 so as to discharge the water adsorbed by the adsorbent material contained in this second enclosure. A steam-rich stream is fed into third enclosure A3 containing a mercaptan-laden adsorbent material. In A3, the mercaptans are desorbed and replaced by the steam.
Abstract:
An apparatus for removing a folding-box blank (Z) from a magazine and for erecting the same has a first retaining means (6) with means (62) for gripping a first box wall (W1) of the blank (Z) and a second retaining means (7) with means (72) for gripping a second, adjacent box wall (W2) located on the same side of the blank (Z). The two retaining means (6, 7) can be moved relative to one another in order to erect the box. This allows the folding-box blank to be removed and erected in a space-saving and efficient manner.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of aqueous solutions of unsaturated quaternary ammonium salts. The salts can correspond to the following formula (I): in which R represents a methyl or benzyl radical, by reaction, in the presence of water, of N,N-dimethyl-amninoethyl acrylate (DAMEA) with a quaternizing agent of formula (II): R—Cl (II) in which R is as defined above. Generally, the reaction is carried out in a closed reactor, which includes all the DAMEA and has been pressurized by air or depleted air to 0.5 to 3 bar, by continuously introducing, at a temperature of 35 to 65° C., the quatenlizing agent (II) and the water, until a concentration of salt (I) in the water is obtained. The water starts to be introduced beginning when 0-20% of the amount by weight of the quaternizing agent (II) necessary for the reaction has been added and it being possible for the pressure at the end of the reaction to reach 9 bar. Next, the reactor can be depressurized while keeping the oxygen content constant by simultaneous introduction of air and, after returning to atmospheric pressure, the residual quaternizing agent may be removed.
Abstract:
A signal processor includes at least one data source (3), a plurality of input registers (11, 12, 13, 14, . . . ) whose inputs are coupled to the data source by data buses (9, 10), a plurality of multipliers (19, 20; 71, 72 . . . ) for multiplying data buffered in the input registers, and a processing arrangement spread over a plurality of data processor branches (4-0, 4-1, . . . , 4-N) for processing products (p0, p1, . . . ), generated by the multipliers by arithmetic and/or logic operations. For achieving enhanced flexibility of the signal processor and increasing the number of possible applications, multiplexers (15, 16, 17, 18; 70) are provided which are used for coupling the multipliers to a respective part of the input registers in dependence on control signals (I, II, III, IV). Such a signal processor is preferably used in mobile radio technology. Further fields of application are, for example, audio, video, medical and automotive technology, ISDN systems, and digital radio.
Abstract:
A signal processor is disclosed having a program memory which stores compressed program instructions and a decoder device which decodes the compressed program instructions to form decoded program instructions for controlling functions of the signal processor. The decoder device has a programmable decoder and a fixed decoding arrangement, where the fixed decoding arrangement is non-programmable and hardwired for decoding the compressed program instructions using logical operations. The programmable decoder includes a decoder memory, such as a ROM or RAM, having cells for storing the decoded program instructions in an uncompressed form. These cells are addressed for executing programmable decoding functions of the programmable decoder. The compressed program instructions include a first number of bits for determining a category of the compressed program instructions and a second number of bits for determining the address of the cells. A control unit detects the category of the compressed program instructions and outputs a control signal to a multiplexer, which selectively connects the programmable decoder or the fixed decoding arrangement to the output of the signal processor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for generating announcement information. When the complete announcement information is generated via natural speech information, a large storage capacity is required. The device aims to enable a plurality of different announcement information to be generated without requiring a large storage capacity. To this end, there is proposed a device for generating announcement information including an input unit, a storage unit for storing natural speech information, a speech generator for generating synthetic speech information and a multiplexer for combining the natural speech information and the synthetic speech information to form the announcement information.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to an oven installation as intermediate storage between the non-mandrel type coiling device for the strip-shaped slab located downstream of a thin-slab casting installation and its uncoiling device corresponding to the rolling mill downstream. In order to provide an oven installation between the coiling device and uncoiling device for the cast slab which enables a reheating of the bundles, if necessary, in addition to favorable heating conditions for the cast material and which provides a large storage capacity upstream of the rolling mill, the invention proposes the use of a circulating pallet system having pallet cars (9) which can be transported cyclically through the oven (11) and can be displaced transversely (8, 13) at the input and output of the oven and guided back (17) laterally alongside the oven, and the platforms of the pallet cars (9), which are made from refractory material and whose end sides directly abut at one another, form the hearth bottom of the oven (11) and are provided with saddles produced from material with poor thermal conductivity for receiving the slab bundles.
Abstract:
Described are plants not naturally capable of reducing dihydrokaempferol and containing a DNA sequence inserted according to recombinant DNA techniques which DNA sequence encodes a protein with the enzymatic activity of a dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR) with extended substrate specificity for dihydrokaempferol. Furthermore, methods for the production of said plants, recombinant vectors and the use of said plants for the breeding of plants and parts of plants with modified flower colour are described.
