摘要: An edible animal food projectile is provided. The projectile is compatible for being launched from a launching apparatus such as a toy gun or the like. The projectile includes an edible body made from a starch-based material consisting essentially of an expanded starch. The edible body is formed into a predefined geometry operable to receive a launching force causing temporary flight of the projectile and having a first density. A payload is embedded on or within the edible body and the payload is formed from a material having a second density greater than the first density of the edible body. The payload can be food, medicine, and the like.

摘要: A mounting adapter for mounting a jack to a trailer coupler and/or a trailer frame is described. The mounting adapter may permit the jack to mount to the trailer coupler while retaining both vertical and axial adjustability. The mounting adapter may include a flange and a collar. The flange may include an opening for receiving the jack and at least one mounting aperture for attachment with the trailer frame. The collar may extend outward from the flange and have at least one aperture for attachment with the jack. The collar may also include a rib located for engagement with a slot on the jack. The trailer coupler and frame may include apertures alignable to the mounting apertures, whereby the mounting apertures may permit orientation of the jack to be forward, left, right or rear facing. The mounting adapter may also be vertically adjustable to the jack.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting the connection of a FireWire peer to a FireWire device. In one embodiment, a device may determine whether a peer connection is present based on peer detection circuit configured in each FireWire port of a FireWire device. When no peer is connected to a device, a peer connection in the circuit may be open, and a current path through the circuit may provide a low detect signal, indicating that no peer is connected. When a peer is connected to a detecting device, the current may pass through a resistance in the detected peer to provide a high detect signal, indicating that a peer is connected. In some embodiments, once a peer is detected, the FireWire system of the detecting device may be powered on, and the peer detection circuit may be powered off.

摘要: An embodiment of a method of dividing past computing instances into predictable and unpredictable sets begins with a first step of a computing entity storing a training data set comprising past computing instances. Each past computing instance comprises attributes and a past computing value. In a second step, the computing entity separates the training data set into a predictable set of past computing instances and an unpredictable set of past computing instances. According to an embodiment, a method of predicting a computing value begins with the first and second steps. The method of predicting the computing value continues with a third step of the computing entity forming a predictor from the predictable set of past computing instances. In a fourth step, the computing entity applies the predictor to a pending computing instance that meets a predictability test to determine a predicted value for the pending computing instance.

摘要: A technique for reducing network bandwidth for delivery of dynamic and mixed content. When content, such as a web page or other data, is requested, the invention keeps track of at least some of the content that is sent to the recipient. When another request is made for content that includes one or more portions that were already sent, those portions need not be sent again. Instead, identifiers of portions previously sent, such as checksums or signatures, are sent. The recipient uses the identifiers and the previously sent data to reconstruct the requested data locally. Accordingly, the invention provides a unique data compression technique that avoids sending the same data multiple times, even where the data includes dynamic content. Bandwidth is conserved because less bandwidth is required to send the identifiers than the original data.

摘要: The “Multiple Problem Ticket Creation Tool” (MPTCT) creates problem tickets on a network connected by an enterprise services bus having servers on the network with different problem ticketing systems. The MPTCT receives an original problem ticket, converts the original problem ticket to an XML or other format, determines which problem ticketing system is responsible for fixing the problem, determines which problem ticketing system are affected by the problem, creates an authoritative ticket on the responsible problem ticketing system, creates an informational ticket on every ticketing system affected by the problem, maps a tracking number between the original problem ticket and the related problem tickets created on other problem ticketing systems, tracks callbacks from each problem ticketing system, updates each related problem ticket with the callback information, and closes each related informational problem ticket and the original problem ticket when the authoritative problem ticket is closed.
