Abstract: An automotive visor includes an electrochromic element defining a planar width and height and a mounting structure coupled with the electrochromic element along a first side of a perimeter thereof and configured for rotatably mounting the automotive visor within a vehicle interior. The mounting structure includes a first frame member defining a first interior face and a first channel portion and a second frame member defining a second interior face and a second channel portion. The first frame member and the second frame member are coupled together with the first and second faces in mutual contact and the first and second channel portions defining a channel receiving the first side of the perimeter therein. Each of the first and second frame members further define respective spacer projections that extend inwardly into the channel and contact opposing first and second faces of the electrochromic element, respectively.

Traces may extend from the at least two slots to the end portion of the motor connection printed circuit board. Each of the at least two motor terminals may be inserted into one of the at least two slots defined by the motor connection printed circuit board; and a portion of each of the at least two motor terminals may extend through the slot in which it has been inserted.

Abstract: A rearview assembly is disclosed. The rearview assembly comprises a reflective element and/or a display element. Further, the rearview assembly comprises an array of piezo-electric sensors. The array of piezo-electric sensors may be operable to sense a first vibration. Further, based, at least in part, on sensing the first vibration, the array of piezo-electric sensors may be operable to output a second vibration. In some embodiments, the second vibration may be operable to substantially dampen the first vibration. In other embodiments, the second vibration may be operable to provide haptic feedback to a user interfacing with a touch screen surface of the rearview assembly.

A plurality of contact-receiving apertures extend through the body and receive a plurality of spring contacts on a circuit board. The plurality of spring contacts abut and are compressed between the circuit board and the body. The plurality of spring contacts directly engage the plurality of electrical leads when inserted into the plurality of contact-receiving apertures. A plurality of peripheral walls are adjacent the circuit board.

Abstract: A rearview mirror includes a housing defining an interior cavity and an opening to an exterior of the housing, a notch extending from an edge of the opening and an actuation mechanism coupled within the interior of the housing. The actuation mechanism has a toggle barrel rotatably positioned within the interior cavity of the housing and a lever extending from the toggle barrel through the opening. The lever defines a first major surface and includes a locking rib extending from the first major surface adjacent the barrel. The lever and toggle barrel are rotatable between a first position and a second position, the locking rib being positioned within the notch of the housing when the lever and the toggle barrel are in the first position and being positioned away from the notch when the lever and the toggle barrel are in the second position.
