    Abstract: A computer-implemented method that, when executed by data processing hardware, causes data processing hardware to perform operations comprising receiving a service request associated with a service request button of a vehicle, receiving one or more service button engagement scoring inputs each associated with a corresponding vehicle status, calculating a service request confidence score based on the one or more service button engagement scoring inputs, assigning a service request cancellation period based on the one or more service button engagement scoring inputs, determining whether a cancellation request is received within the service request cancellation period, and either cancelling the service request when the cancellation request is received within the service request cancellation period, or transmitting the service request to a service provider when the cancellation request is not received within the service request cancellation period.

    Abstract: A charging control system for a vehicle includes a user device that includes a display and data processing hardware in communication with the display and executing a charging application that stores a charging profile, a vehicle profile, and saved charging options. The charging control system also includes a vehicle controller communicatively coupled to the user device via a network. The vehicle controller stores at least one of battery power, battery life, and battery capacity of a vehicle battery and is configured to update the vehicle profile of the charging application and provide charge options on the display. The charge options include at least one of a charge time, charging locations, and battery capacity when the charging application is executed on the data processing hardware.

    Abstract: Method of using a vehicle to alert to potential risks includes determining that a user of the vehicle will be absent; determining an estimated absence time; and sending an alert to authorities, via a control system, if the user does not return within the estimated absence time. The method may include receiving the estimated absence time from the user, or the control system of the vehicle determines the absence and the estimated absence time. The user may define the absence and input the estimated absence time through a centralized location, such that the alert is sent from the centralized location. Following expiration of the estimated absence time, detecting a pedestrian near the vehicle, and then playing a pre-recorded emergency message through speakers, such that the pedestrian is made aware of the pre-recorded emergency message. Vehicle lights/horn may operate to guide the user, possibly in decaying fashion.

    Abstract: Presented are intelligent vehicle systems and control logic for adaptive vehicle sensing and automation for occupants with health conditions, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles equipped with such systems. A method of operating a vehicle includes a resident or remote vehicle controller determining an existing health condition of an occupant in the vehicle's passenger compartment. The controller then retrieves, e.g., from a resident or remote memory device, predefined sets of calibration settings and condition symptoms customized to this existing health condition. A network of sensing devices is calibrated using the predefined calibration settings to detect one or more of the predefined condition symptoms. The calibrated sensing devices monitor the occupant to detect a health event based on the predefined condition symptoms. Upon detecting the health event, the controller commands one or more resident vehicle subsystems to execute one or more vehicle operations to mitigate the health event.

    Abstract: Methods of detecting that a vehicle tracking device is tracking humans includes determining whether the vehicle tracking device has been removed from its linked vehicle; determining whether the vehicle tracking device is being used to track a human; and alerting when determined that the vehicle tracking device is tracking humans. Methods may determine if a weighted score is greater than a threshold and alerting: an owner of the vehicle tracking device; setting off an audio alert on the vehicle tracking device; or notifying authorities. Methods may detect human movement by detecting steep elevation changes; detecting acceleration data consistent human movement; or detecting movement that is not a road. Methods may determine if the vehicle tracking device is with a different vehicle or building by: detecting the different vehicle's hotspot; detecting the building's Wi-Fi; or detecting GPS movement that matches the different vehicle's GPS movement.

    Abstract: A system for assisting a vehicle having a trailer includes a drone having at least one sensor adapted to collect sensor data. The drone is selectively attachable to the vehicle. A controller is in communication with the drone. The controller is adapted to selectively execute an assessment mode, an operational mode, and a delivery mode, the operational mode being executed after the assessment mode is completed. The drone is adapted to conduct a set of initial checks during the assessment mode, the drone being adapted to fly around the trailer and/or the vehicle during the assessment mode. The drone is attached to the vehicle during the operational mode. The delivery mode is executed upon arrival of the vehicle at a predefined destination, the drone being adapted to be in flight during the delivery mode.
