    摘要： A container of the present invention for use of ink jet recording liquid is arranged to store recording liquid to be supplied to an ink jet recording head. This recording liquid container comprises the container main body, and an absorber holding recording liquid contained in the interior of the container main body, and the absorber is constituted by the fiber having its elongation percentage (Japanese Industrial Standard JIS-L1015) of 250% or less. With the elongation percentage of the fibrous absorber manufactured by the thermal processing which is defined within a specific range, it becomes possible to suppress the dimensional changes before and after the execution of the thermal processing, as well as to make the difference smaller between the higher and lower densities on the surface layer and the central portion of the fibrous absorber, respectively, hence providing a highly uniform absorber.

    摘要： An ink tank is attachable to the attachment section by positioning first engagement sections at first fitting sections on the attachment section and then locking a second engagement section to a second fitting section of the attachment section by rotating the tank. The multiple supply ports are arranged on a bottom face of the tank such that the supply ports are on both sides of a center line in a width direction of the tank, and that distances between each of abutting centers configured to abut ink receiving parts of the attachment section, and the first engagement section side in a direction along a center line are mutually different. It is possible to avoid reception of a reactive force to the ink receiving parts at one time when rotating and attaching the tank, and to achieve stable attachment while suppressing excessive inclination of the tank at the time of attachment.

    摘要： An ink tank for being installed in an ink jet recording apparatus to supply ink thereto, including an ink storage portion, one side surface of a casing of the ink tank in which side surface an opening for supplying ink to the apparatus is formed, and a joint member for joining the one side surface to the apparatus by engaging with a connection member of the apparatus. The joint member has a welding portion for being welded to the one side surface along a peripheral portion of the opening, the welding portion corresponding to the peripheral portion; and a hollow portion forming a positioning hole for inserting therein and engaging therewith the connection member for determining a relative position of the apparatus and the one side surface. The hollow portion is provided on the outside of the welding portion and abuts to the one side surface without being welded.
