    摘要: An information-recording medium of write once or rewritable type designed to have narrow tracks is provided, in which the wobble signal amplitude is scarcely fluctuated by crosstalk. The medium includes recording tracks formed in a spiral form and meandering at a predetermined wobble cycle T, and a plurality of zones constituting each of the recording tracks, each of the zones having a principal area formed to have a predetermined wobble phase. A relationship of T>80b holds between the wobble cycle T and a channel bit length b of recording data. The wobble phase of one of the recording tracks is adjusted so that an average phase difference d is d>π/2 between the wobble phase in the principal area in the zone and a wobble phase of an area in the recording track disposed adjacently on an inner circumferential side or an outer circumferential side of the principal area, in relation to all of the recording tracks disposed adjacently in the radial direction.

    摘要: A magneto-optical recording medium comprises a protective layer having a self-lubricating property formed at an uppermost layer on a side opposite to a substrate wherein a recording or reproducing light beam comes into a side of the protective layer. The thickness and the refractive index of the protective layer are selected under predetermined conditions depending on whether or not evanescent light is transmitted through the protective layer. It is possible to perform high density recording and reproduction thereof by utilizing the evanescent light. A protective layer having a self-lubricating property may be also formed on a bottom surface of an optical head opposing to the optical recording medium. Even when the optical head contacts with the surface of the optical recording medium, the sliding scratch scarcely occurs, because the optical head smoothly glides on the recording medium surface. It is possible to reduce the influence of multiple interference of light which would be otherwise caused in an air layer existing between the optical recording medium and the optical head, and it is possible to suppress variation in reproduced signal intensity.

    摘要: An optical recording disc comprising two disc substrates, each in a cylindrical shape having a round center hole, at least one recording layer formed on the surface of at least one said disc substrate, and at least one bonding material layer is formed at an inner rim portion and an outer rim portion of the surface of the said disc substrate, on the surface of which the recording layer is formed, except for at least one portion of the said rim portion of the surface of the disc substrate, wherein the bonding material layer is provided to bond the said two disc substrates togehter, so that the surfaces of the said disc substrates, on the surface of which the recording layer is formed, face each other, thereby a space gap is formed between the said disc substrates, and the said one portion of the said rim portion of the surface of the disc substrate, where the bonding material layer is not formed, can act as a ventilation path, through which the air can pass from the said air gap into the outside of the optical recording disc, and reversely. Accordingly, the said ventilation path enables to prevent the shape of the disc substrate from changing and also enables to prevent the disc substrate from breaking, even if there is a pressure difference between the inside air gap and the outside of the optical recording disc, thereby the optical recording disc can record information correctly on the recording layer.
