A picture image providing method and a picture-taking device using the method are provided. The picture-taking device includes: a picture-taking module generating a picture image by taking a picture of a photography object via a camera; a transmission location management module managing a target image for identifying the photography object included in the picture image, and transmission location information for transmitting the picture image, in correspondence to the target image; an area selection module selecting an area on the picture image corresponding to the target image; an image identification module identifying the target image corresponding to the photography object, included in the picture image, using the target image and the selected area on the picture image; and a picture image transmission module identifying the transmission location information corresponding to the identified target image, and transmitting the picture image to a location corresponding to the transmission location information.

A method of configuring a virtual device and a system of configuring a virtual device is provided. A plurality of virtual device drivers corresponding to a plurality of specific functions of a first device is identified along with a second device. A plurality of virtual device drivers corresponding to the plurality of specific functions of the second device is also identified. A plurality of virtual device drivers required for a service is selected from the plurality of virtual device drivers corresponding to the plurality of specific functions of the first device and the plurality of virtual device drivers corresponding to the plurality of specific functions of the second device. The virtual device is configured with the plurality of virtual device drivers required for the service.

A method and system are provided for automatic wireless connection to a digital device in a portable terminal, wherein information about the portable terminal is acquired. The information about the portable terminal is commonly used for automatic wireless connection to the digital device. A state of a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is checked and activated, and the WLAN is set to an Ad-hoc mode. A Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the WLAN is set using the acquired portable terminal information, a security key of the WLAN is set using the acquired portable terminal information, and an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the WLAN is automatically set using the acquired portable terminal information.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method support bidirectional pairing between devices. A connectable peripheral device is discovered. A list of discovered connectable peripheral devices is displayed. When a peripheral device is selected from the displayed list of the discovered connectable peripheral devices, an indicator operation request message for operating an indicator of the selected peripheral device is generated and transmitted to the selected device. The selected peripheral device operates the indicator according to the indicator operation request message to indicate a connection request from the device.

A presentation control system and method are provided, in which a first terminal is connected to a second terminal to control displaying of a presentation file stored in the second terminal. The first terminal controls execution of the presentation file in the second terminal, controls execution of switching between slide pages included in the presentation file in the second terminal, and controls closing of the presentation file in the second terminal.

A recognition control method among devices, the recognition control method includes receiving a second device recognition signal via a wireless signal module of a first device from a wireless signal module of a second device, and recognizing that the second device is located in a direction from the first device through the second device recognition signal. With respect to the second device, the method includes receiving a first device recognition signal via the wireless signal module of the second device from the wireless signal module of the first device, and recognizing that the first device is located in a direction from the second device through the first device recognition signal.

An apparatus and method for testing a ubiquitous service or a ubiquitous device using a uniform object model are provided. Because a virtual ubiquitous environment is constructed with devices, services, users, layouts, and the like, physical construction of the ubiquitous environment to test services or devices is not needed. Therefore, the effectiveness of the ubiquitous device or service can be confirmed without requiring a ubiquitous environment to be physically constructed. Additionally, time or cost of constructing a ubiquitous environment can be reduced. Because a variety of environments can be easily constructed through the test of devices or services, the performances of the devices or services can also be improved.

More particularly the data aggregation method includes: generating a plurality of data aggregation trees according to connection relationships between clusters that constitute a sensor network using a geographical code (GGC), selecting a single activation zone for each of the clusters which configures each of the plurality of data aggregation trees, selecting a maximum energy tree having a maximum total residual energy from the plurality of data aggregation trees, based on the single activation zone, and generating a tree list including activation zone information which corresponds to the maximum energy tree, and information about the maximum energy tree.
