摘要： An HARQ method for guaranteeing a QoS in a wireless communication system is provided. In a transmitting apparatus using a HARQ for transmitting packet data in a wireless communication system, a retransmission controller determines the size of redundancy information for correcting transmission errors in packet data, and a transmitter transmits the redundancy information of the determined size upon request for a retransmission of the packet data. Transmission of redundancy information of a variable size at each retransmission satisfies the QoS required for each user, maximizes a data throughput, and allows for the efficient reception of an ACK or a NACK for the redundancy information.

摘要： A method for controlling channel access in a mobile communication system. A base station generates a broadcast channel frame, which includes status information indicating whether channel codes which are changing in real time are occupied or not. The base station transmits the broadcast channel frame at predetermined intervals. Then, a mobile station selects an available channel code based on information from the received broadcast channel frame, generates a channel assignment request message, and transmits the channel assignment request message on a random access channel. Upon reception of the channel assignment request message on the random access channel, the base station assigns a channel, sets a transmission rate, and transmits the information on a forward access channel.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving a Channel Quality Information (CQI) in a communication system are provided. A Mobile Station (MS) receives first information indicating a representative MS selected from a group of MSs located within a preset range and in similar channel statuses, the group including the MS, determines from the first information whether the MS is designated as the representative MS, and transmits a CQI of the MS as a representative CQI of the MSs included in the group to a Base Station (BS), if the MS is designated as the representative MS.

A communication method of a Relay Station (RS) includes determining a number of bandwidth request ranging codes received from Subscriber Stations (SSs); and reporting the number of the bandwidth request ranging codes to a Base Station (BS). A communication method of the BS includes allocating a resource to an RS to report on a number of detected bandwidth request ranging codes; and receiving a report on the number of the bandwidth request ranging codes using the allocated resource.

摘要： Disclosed is a system and method for transmitting data based on an operational state of a mobile station in a communication system. A Base Station BS apparatus of the multi-hop relay system includes a receiver and a calculator. The receiver receives channel condition information and queue length information for a Mobile Station MS from an RS. The calculator of the BS apparatus determines a data transmission rate between the BS and the RS for data of the MS using the channel condition information and the queue length information.

摘要： A method of compressing uplink control information in a wireless communication system where an MSS scans neighbor BSs upon request from a serving BS and transmits neighbor BS information to the serving BS. In the method, the serving BS broadcasts a neighbor advertisement message including the BS ID of at least one neighbor BS about which the serving BS wants to acquire information, and the BS ID of the at least one neighbor BS. The MSS then scans a channel from the at least one neighbor BS and transmits a scanning result along with a BS index of the at least one neighbor BS to the serving BS.
